Sinnonhyeon café with group tables for studying as a couple: Selecto

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe is a 24-hour café about 200m from Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station in Seocho, Seoul. On a third visit with her boyfriend to find a place to study together, the writer tried the 2-hour solo study seats, the group tables and the unmanned print zone, then ordered a Mocha Blend americano, a Geisha Blend americano and a smoked salmon sandwich. Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon offers enough seating choices for two people to sit side by side and work for hours.

Sinyongsan Station tteokbokki date for two, 22,000 won: Hyeonseonine

Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch is an instant tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cake) restaurant about 180m from Exit 6 of Sinyongsan Station in Yongsan, Seoul, and it has been running since it opened as a street cart in 2004. On this couple date, the instant tteokbokki for two cost 22,000 won and came with rice cake, fish cake, egg and noodles to pick from, the leftover sauce was turned into fried rice, and a Naver review event added a free papaya slushie. The savory instant tteokbokki broth and crispy fritters make Hyeonseonine an easy recommendation for a casual date in Yongsan.
