Why I picked Bakerist Brown, a bakery café near Gangnam Station
Bakerist Brown is a big bakery café near Gangnam Station where you can enjoy coffee with house-made bread and desserts. Every time I meet someone around Gangnam Station I think the same thing: so many people, and so many cafés! I wanted a place that offers tasty bread and desserts, not just coffee, so I went to Bakerist Brown.

Which breads caught my eye in the Bakerist Brown showcase?

The flashiest items in the Bakerist Brown showcase were the vanilla kouign-amann and the fig kouign-amann. The vanilla one stood out with its cream topping decorated with chestnut, and the fig one had fresh figs on top of generous cream, which looked so tempting. Each one was decorated with such care and looked so pretty that it would be great for photos too.

I heard Bakerist Brown is a bakery café that makes its bread in-house with fresh French butter and ingredients.

At Bakerist Brown, the bakery café near Gangnam Station, there was a wide variety, from croissants to cream pastries to fruit-topped desserts. There were layered, flaky pastries and also breads with cute little faces.

From sweet desserts to breads you could pick as a meal replacement, there was plenty to choose from depending on your taste. If you are looking for a big bakery near Gangnam Station, take your time browsing the bread display first.
Sitting at the Bakerist Brown outdoor tables

Bakerist Brown has outdoor tables, and since the weather was nice, I chose a seat outside instead of indoors. The atmosphere inside a café is lovely too, but on a good-weather day, sitting outside with a coffee is just so nice.
What flavors are in the cookie set (₩19,000)?

The Bakerist Brown cookie set comes in colors and flavors from chocolate brown to yellow, pink and green, with cream sandwiched between the cookies. Unlike the usual thick American cookies, these are thin and neatly shaped, so they look tidy too. They were a dessert that is nice to share in small bites with coffee. My favorites were the matcha and Earl Grey sandwiches.
Black sesame latte with plenty of rich black sesame cream

When I first got the Bakerist Brown black sesame latte (₩7,800), it reminded me of an Einspänner (coffee topped with thick cream). You enjoy the rich cream first, then drink the coffee underneath along with it. If you like black sesame, you'll love it.

If the black sesame latte is about enjoying a generous amount of cream, the iced café latte (₩7,000) was a basic coffee that is cool and clean to drink. Bakerist Brown was fun to look around and fun to eat at, from the variety of house-made pastries to the colorful cookie set and the nutty black sesame latte.
