I was looking for a spot for an evening get-together near Sadang Station and ended up at Bareun Hwangso Gopchang (바른황소곱창) for hanwoo gopchang (Korean beef small intestine). You want gopchang, but grilling it yourself at the table means oil splatter and busy hands while it cooks, right?

Here the kitchen grills the gopchang and brings it out, so you can eat the moment it lands on the table. A staff member mixes it once more so it's ready to eat, which let me focus on the meal instead of the grilling. It's an easy walk from Sadang Station Exit 10, so it's a comfy gopchang place for after-work Sadang gatherings or team dinners.

There was also a notice about the hanwoo gopchang in the shop. If you're curious how the gopchang is prepared, have a look at the in-store notice before ordering.

I could also see usage notices and a Naver-related notice. Checking the hours and whether they close early before you go helps if you're coming late.

Do you have to grill the hanwoo gopchang yourself at Bareun Hwangso Gopchang?
The hanwoo gopchang is cooked in the kitchen and comes to the table ready to eat, and a staff member mixes it with the vegetables. Hanwoo gopchang is ₩25,000 per serving, and we had 2 servings.

While waiting for the gopchang, fish cake soup (eomukguk) was already on the table. The warm broth went well with the gopchang and made it easy to start the meal. The simmering broth was nice to sip between bites, and alternating a hot soup with the rich gopchang worked well.

The hanwoo gopchang we ordered was cooked in the kitchen and came out ready to eat. Instead of starting to grill from scratch at the table, we could dig in right when it arrived, which was convenient. Chives and vegetables sat next to the gopchang. A piece of rich gopchang with chives made my mouth feel fresh again.

A staff member mixed the gopchang and vegetables for us. Not having to keep flipping it or checking doneness at the table was great. Since the oil-spattering cooking doesn't happen at the table, my hands were less busy during the meal. I thought even people who aren't confident grilling gopchang could eat here comfortably.
The staff member mixed the gopchang for us, and since it came warm to the table, we could enjoy the gopchang's richness together with the aroma of the vegetables.

The gopchang was grilled appetizingly on the surface, with a generous amount of chives and vegetables alongside.

With every bite, I tasted the richness of the gopchang together with the aroma of the vegetables. Hanwoo gopchang is ₩25,000 per serving and we ordered 2. After enjoying the main dish, fried rice naturally came to mind.
Sipping the warm broth between bites of gopchang cut the greasy feeling in my mouth and kept the meal going. With chives and vegetables too, one plate could be enjoyed in several ways.

With less time spent grilling gopchang at the table, it was easier to talk with our group while eating. For that reason, I felt it would suit hangouts with friends as well as after-work Sadang gatherings and team dinners.
Finishing with fried rice at Bareun Hwangso Gopchang
The fried rice is ₩4,000 per serving, and we added 1 serving after the hanwoo gopchang. Following the gopchang with fried rice filled us up nicely.

It was a good way to end the meal after the gopchang. If gopchang alone feels like not enough, you might add the fried rice too. It stayed warm to the end, and finishing with rice after gopchang left us satisfied as a full meal.

After the fried rice, it was a filling evening from the hanwoo gopchang all the way to the finish.
