Renovated 24-hour café in Sinnonhyeon: meeting table & mocha, Selecto

Today I'm introducing Selecto Coffee, a 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station that I visit often 😃 The space is clean and roomy, bright, and the coffee is good, so it's comfortable any time, whether you're studying, meeting someone or on a date haha.

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe (셀렉토커피 신논현점 24 오토브루 카페) is staffed 08:00–22:00 and unmanned 22:00–08:00 on weekdays. On weekends (Sat–Sun) it is staffed 10:00–21:00 and unmanned 21:00–10:00. The address is 31 Gangnam-daero 79-gil, 1st floor, Seocho-gu, Seoul.

What changed after the Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon renovation?

The whole café was recently renovated! Lots of easy grab-and-go food has been added, and they even sell sandwiches now, which made my eyes go wide. At the very back there's a group table you can use like a meeting room, and it's a popular zone with office workers nearby and people studying 😚

How do staffed and unmanned hours work?

Until 10 PM on weekdays and 9 PM on weekends, staff take your order and make the drinks themselves! If you come later, it runs unmanned: you order at the unmanned coffee machine and pick up your drink by following the machine's instructions.

They've also set up a study zone on one side where you can really focus. It honestly felt like a study café 😃

The menu board has a huge range of drinks, from coffee and lattes to cleanse juices, ades, blended drinks and teas! Prices are friendly overall, so it's always easy to drop in without worrying about the bill haha.

And you can choose from no fewer than 5 kinds of beans!

The kiosk shows big photos of each item, so ordering is easy~~

The new salad and sandwich menu

What I was really happy about this visit is that Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon now has a salad and sandwich menu! Thanks to a collaboration between Saladays and Selecto Coffee, you can enjoy fresh, good-quality food every day at reasonable prices haha.

I visited on a weekday evening, and the display had a chicken sandwich, a smoked salmon sandwich and one kind of salad.

The cakes that go nicely with good coffee also come with clear nutrition information!

Is the ₩8,500 smoked salmon sandwich worth it?

I happened to be craving the smoked salmon sandwich, and luckily they had some left, so I could eat it right away~~

The smoked salmon sandwich is served cold, so I dug in right away, and the bread was already great? It's ciabatta, so it's plain and crisp on the outside, and it went so well with the salmon~~ The vegetables were fresh and the salmon was rich and nutty, so it works well as a light meal 😃

When I go to a café I tend to stay quite a while, so having meal-type items now made this visit very satisfying haha.

Mocha vs Geisha beans: how the iced Americanos taste

The Mocha bean Americano I drank in the café with the sandwich had a gentle cherry note that lingered pleasantly, with a calm aroma. The Geisha bean Americano I took away on my way to work out had a bright, light body, perfect for sipping on the go!

Even as a 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station, Selecto Coffee has high quality and a space I was happy with! If you want coffee late at night or need a place to settle in, I recommend visiting :)
