In short
Small Town Coffee is a dog-friendly café on Galmae-gil in Baebang, Asan, split into a main building, an annex and an outdoor terrace, with dogs allowed in the annex and on the terrace. The writer sat on the outdoor terrace with a dog, ordered a Basque cheesecake, a peach ade and an iced americano, and the café brought a separate water cup just for the dog. Small Town Coffee is a dog-friendly, cozy café on Galmae-gil in Baebang, Asan. It's a spot slightly outside the city where you can relax with a quiet countryside view, so let me introduce it to you!
Where is Small Town Coffee and how is the parking?
Small Town Coffee is at 31 Galmae-gil, Baebang-eup, Asan-si, Chungnam. There's a large private parking lot right next to the café.

With a large private lot right next to the shop, even a beginner driver like me could park easily as soon as I arrived!
Drinks and desserts at Small Town Coffee
Small Town Coffee has a wide range of coffees, and you can get discounted prices with set menus that bundle a drink and a dessert. The desserts aren't store-bought; they're baked in-house.

When I went in, I found it's run by two women owners! Looking at the menu, there were so many kinds of coffee, and I loved that there are set menus bundled with desserts so you can eat at a discounted price.

For the teas, they put out the tea powders in front of the counter so you can smell them yourself.

I checked out the desserts too, and there was a solid lineup, from scones that are easy to grab and nibble on to lemon cake, Basque cheesecake, cookies and egg tarts.

They told me the desserts aren't store-bought; everything is baked in the shop!
Layout and where dogs are allowed at Small Town Coffee
Small Town Coffee is divided into three areas: the main building, the annex and the outdoor terrace. Guests with dogs can only use the annex and outdoor terrace seats.

Now let me show you the inside of Small Town Coffee one piece at a time~

The space is split into three areas: the main building, the annex and the outdoor terrace. Note that if you come with a dog, you can only use the annex and the outdoor terrace seats! If you're visiting with a puppy, it's worth keeping in mind.

The outdoor terrace with an autumn tree between the buildings
The layout was really unique: the space wrapped by the main building and the annex is the outdoor terrace! Since it was autumn, one big tree stood outside, turned red, and the outdoor tables were placed around it.

The annex with big floor-to-ceiling windows
I stepped inside the annex, and the windows are big floor-to-ceiling glass, so I really liked the view of the outdoors beyond the window. If you like that big-window vibe, I'd definitely recommend the annex!

The seats inside are spaced out generously, which made it comfortable to relax, and there's a big group table in the middle too, so you won't have to worry about seating even if you come with a crowd~

The main building: bright wood tones and a lawn view
The main building, on the other hand, had a slightly brighter, warmer wood-tone feel. It also has floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can see a fresh green lawn outside~

The main building also has more seating than the annex!

Back outside, every table has a parasol over it, so you can sit comfortably even in the daytime without worrying about the sun. When I went in the afternoon, the sunshine was just right, and some people were reading while drinking coffee, some had come with their dogs, and others were chatting away. Everyone was enjoying the relaxed vibe in their own way. It's quiet around, with a calm countryside feel, so just sitting there felt healing.
What to order at Small Town Coffee: Basque cheesecake, peach ade and americano
At Small Town Coffee I ordered a Basque cheesecake, a peach ade and an iced americano. Of those, the Basque cheesecake is the one I'd urge you to order.

We ordered the Basque cheesecake, a peach ade and an americano.

First, this Basque cheesecake deserves a hundred stars 😭 It was the best Basque cheesecake I've had in all my café-hopping so far! There's zero dryness; the inside is soft and moist and it melts the moment it hits your mouth~ When you go to Small Town Coffee, don't hesitate, just order it.

The peach ade had sweet peach bits at the bottom to chew on, so it was fresh and tasty, and the iced americano was nutty and clean, with no burnt taste or excessive acidity.

Going to Small Town Coffee with a dog: a dedicated water bowl and yard cats
Small Town Coffee keeps a dedicated water bowl for dogs. On the outdoor terrace you can also see the café's cats wandering around the yard.
We came with our pup, and it seemed thirsty, so I asked if they had a paper cup. But instead of a paper cup, they had a dedicated doggy water bowl ready!

We sat on the outdoor terrace, and the café's cute cats were roaming around the yard, so the whole atmosphere felt healing just to look at, haha. If you're looking for a cozy café in Baebang, Asan, try dog-friendly Small Town Coffee.
