Cleansing balm for dry skin makeup removal: HEEDA Jirisan
In short
HEEDA Jirisan Moist Cleansing Balm is a Korean cleansing balm I tried on dry skin to remove light daily makeup. Its black balm melted softly, rinsed off through emulsification, and left my skin feeling moisturized, though I would use a foam cleanser afterward for a squeakier finish.

How did it feel on dry skin?

My skin condition changes with the seasons, but it tends to become especially dry in winter. After using it to remove light daily makeup, the first thing I noticed after cleansing was the moisturized finish.

I did not experience breakouts or irritation while using it. However, this is only my experience as someone with dry skin.

What are the texture and application process like?

It is a black balm that melted softly like sherbet when I rubbed it onto my skin. It applied with an oily feel as I spread and massaged it over my skin, then emulsified and rinsed away when it came into contact with water.

The container opens with one touch, and the lid has a space to store the spatula, which made it easy to scoop out.

Did it remove light makeup well?

I used it while wearing light daily makeup without eyeliner or mascara. It cleanly removed the eyeshadow on my eyelids, and the sebum beside my pores also felt as though it washed away.

The cleansing range noted by the writer includes foundation, eyeshadow, lip makeup, blush, eyeliner, and mascara. In my case, my skin did not feel especially sticky or slippery after rinsing with water.

What are the price and fragrance?

For 100ml, I recorded a list price of ₩28,000 and a purchase price of ₩14,900. I noted that it is fragrance-free.

Who might it suit?

It may be useful to consider for people who prefer a balm cleanser that melts softly and leaves a moisturized finish. If you want a squeakier cleanse, the writer mentioned using a foam cleanser after the first cleanse.

Compared with other cleansing balms I had mainly used, this one felt softer and oilier as I spread it over my skin. I did not find any clear drawback at the time of use, though I thought it would be nice if a larger-size version were available.
