Hwaseong meat restaurant: pick pork belly by weight label, Morakmorak
Morakmorak Jeongyuk Sikdang is a butcher-style meat restaurant on Yeokgol-jungang-ro in Namyang-eup, near Hwaseong City Hall in Gyeonggi. On a fall weekend visit with family, the writer chose domestic raw pork belly and pork neck straight from the case at the weight and price printed on each label, had the cuts pre-grilled at the table, and went back for unlimited tacos from the self-bar and hanwoo bone-broth ramyeon, alongside a complimentary side of yukhoe (raw beef tartare) with egg yolk. Wrapping the pork in tortillas with guacamole and nacho chips made Morakmorak a satisfying family dinner in Namyang, Hwaseong.
