Weekend family dinner at Gwangmyeong jjukkumi restaurant Jeongipum
Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch is a hot-plate jjukkumi (baby octopus) restaurant on the 1st floor of AK Plaza in Iljik-dong by Gwangmyeong Station, Gyeonggi, an easy stop after shopping at IKEA or Costco. On a weekend evening with her parents, the writer had the black pork belly hot plate jjukkumi at medium spice (about Shin Ramyun level), wrapped it in sesame leaves with gim, bean sprouts, pickled radish, flying fish roe and white sauce, then cleared two servings of fried rice — minari with flying fish roe and cheese. Her parents called it the best jjukkumi they had ever eaten out, making Jeongipum Jjukkumi a 100% return visit.
