Hanam Doeji Jip Seokgye branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant on the restaurant street near Seokgye Station in Nowon, Seoul, where staff grill the pork for you. Five diners ordered two mixed platters (49,000 won each) along with water naengmyeon and pollack sashimi naengmyeon, and worked through charcoal pre-seared pork belly, premium neck meat, fresh short ribs and grilled kimchi. Pouring the water naengmyeon broth over the pollack sashimi naengmyeon made the single best bite of the visit.

Family Korean BBQ set and seafood ramyeon in Nowon: Moksam Hwaro

Moksam Hwaro Nowon Main Branch is a charcoal pre-grilled Korean BBQ restaurant near Exits 9 and 10 of Nowon Station in Seoul. On a family dinner, the table shared the Moksam Big Plate Set (₩67,000) of premium pork collar, pork belly and Iberico jowl with seafood ramyeon (₩5,000), tasting each dipping sauce from Maldon salt to truffle pollock roe and tonkatsu sauce. The pre-grilled pork collar at Moksam Hwaro was crisp outside and juicy inside, and the whole family voted it the number one cut.
