Friday solo gyukatsu and small draft beer at Seoul Station: Ichigyu
Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch is a gyukatsu (Japanese beef cutlet) restaurant with an individual tabletop brazier at every table, in the underground mall at Seoul Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Visiting alone on a Friday evening, the writer ordered the gyukatsu set with a small draft beer and ate it four ways: grilled in Isigny butter, dipped in salt, topped with fresh wasabi, and chased with beer. Seats at Ichigyu are set far enough apart that a solo dinner feels comfortable, even though the room was full by the time the writer left.
