Yeonnam-dong café: iced Colombia Cauca drip & tiramisu, Central Site
In short
Central Site Yeonnam (센트럴사이트 연남점) is a three-floor specialty coffee café near the Yeonnam-dong bus stop in Mapo, Seoul. On a staff recommendation, the writer ordered an iced hand-drip Colombia Cauca and a classic tiramisu: big ice kept the coffee's bright acidity strong to the last sip, and the tiramisu was generous and not too sweet. For a Yeonnam-dong café where you can linger over acidic iced drip coffee and dessert, Central Site Yeonnam is a good fit.

What kind of café is Central Site Yeonnam?

Central Site Yeonnam is a café near Hongdae where you can enjoy both coffee and dessert in Yeonnam-dong. I had an appointment in Yeonnam-dong, so I dropped by this café with a lovely atmosphere.

It's about a 2-minute walk from the Yeonnam-dong bus stop, so it was easy to find, and it's close to Hongdae too, so access is great. It's nice for a quiet cup of coffee alone and also worked well as a meeting spot with friends, so let me introduce it.
Getting to Central Site Yeonnam: is it easy to find?

Central Site Yeonnam is really close to the Yeonnam-dong bus stop, so it's easy to find. Central Site has two branches, in Yeonnam-dong and Hapjeong, and this time I visited the Yeonnam branch.
Being close to the bus stop meant I could walk over without any hassle even in the hot weather, and I liked that it's on the outer edge of the alley, so it doesn't feel crowded. The mood felt stylish from the front of the shop, and once I went inside it was better than I expected.
A spacious three-floor space and seating

Central Site Yeonnam spans three floors, so it was bigger than I expected.

Each floor has a slightly different mood, so I could spend time leisurely wherever I liked,

and there's a variety of seating, from window seats to tables to a bar counter. It's good for reading alone or meeting a friend, and the atmosphere was comfortable for chatting.

The seats are fairly well spaced, so it never felt cramped, and it was the kind of place where you naturally want to stay a long time.
Which beans did the staff recommend for iced hand drip?

When I said I wanted my specialty hand-drip coffee iced, the staff member recommended Colombia Cauca. I ordered the specialty hand drip and told them I wanted it iced.

The staff member recommended Colombia Cauca for iced, and the explanation was so kind that I ordered with confidence.

The first thing I noticed when the coffee came out was the huge ice! Because the ice is big, it melts slowly, so the flavor stays rich to the very end, which I loved.

On the first sip, a bright acidity came first, followed by a clean aftertaste. It wasn't heavy or muddy, so it suits summer really well, and it was a specialty coffee that's just right served cold. If you usually like acidic beans, I think you'll be happy with it.
Don't skip the classic tiramisu
The classic tiramisu at Central Site Yeonnam was bigger than I expected, so the portion was generous and better than I'd hoped. The smooth mascarpone cream and moist sponge blended together nicely.

It wasn't too sweet, so it was easy to eat, and alternating it with the coffee gave a really good balance of flavors.

I never expected acidic hand-drip coffee and tiramisu to go together so well. If you feel coffee alone isn't enough, I'd recommend ordering the tiramisu too, it was that satisfying.
Meant to stay briefly, ended up staying long

I originally planned to have just one coffee and move on, but the mood was so comfortable that I naturally stayed a long time.

Each floor has a different vibe, so I found myself looking around at the seats, and with the relaxing music it was a proper mood reset. It's good to visit alone, but I think it would also suit meeting a friend or a date. If you want to spend time talking quietly in Yeonnam-dong, you'll be happy here.
Tip before you go: Americano takeout discount

I heard that Central Site Yeonnam gives a discount to Americano takeout customers. I happened to overhear it while enjoying my coffee, haha. If you're planning a stroll nearby or a wander around Yeonnam-dong and Hongdae, grabbing a takeout cup seems like a fine idea.
Overall verdict
Central Site Yeonnam was a place where I was happy with the coffee and the space alike. The Colombia Cauca recommended by the staff left an impression with its bright, summery flavor, and the classic tiramisu was the most memorable, generous in size and excellent in taste. Thanks to the varied seating over three floors, it's good for spending time alone and comfortable as a meeting spot.

It's a Hongdae café I'd like to revisit to try other beans and desserts. If you want a relaxed time in Yeonnam-dong, stop by once.
