I tried AutoGrooming Clean View Glass Film Remover, made for automotive glass, on my shower booth and bathroom mirror at home. White marks kept showing up again once the moisture dried, so this time I tried cleaning them with a glass film remover.
What was frustrating about my usual bathroom cleaning routine?
Cloudy water spots and limescale marks on the shower-booth glass and mirror had been bothering me.
Even when I scrubbed hard with a Magic Block or an abrasive scouring pad, white marks would often come back once the moisture dried. My wrist would hurt after all that scrubbing, too.
I wanted to see whether a product that removes oily grime and film from automotive glass could also work in the bathroom. After trying it myself, I could see water spots and soap scum coming off the bathroom glass.
What came in the package, and how much was there?
Inside the zip pouch were the 120g bottle of glass film remover and a dedicated premium towel.
It was convenient that I could use the included towel without preparing a separate sponge or cleaning tool.
The amount also felt generous. In my opinion, there would still be some left after cleaning the bathroom mirror, shower-booth glass, and bathtub surface at least three or four times.
How did I clean the shower-booth glass?
First, I sprayed plenty of water from the shower onto the shower-booth glass and mirror I wanted to clean, wetting the surfaces thoroughly.
After spreading the solution evenly over the glass, I gently rubbed the broad surface about five times with the included towel. Dampening the towel slightly made it easier to rub.
As I rubbed, the whitish water spots that had been sitting on the surface disappeared, and the solution seemed to cling to the glass. Then I rinsed it clean with the shower water.
How did the water spots and cleaning effort change?
I used to have to scrub hard with a scouring pad, but this time I could see the water spots coming off after a few passes with the dedicated towel. For me, it took less effort than before.
After rinsing, the cloudy water-spot marks that had remained at the top of the shower booth washed away. I was pleased that the mirror and shower booth looked noticeably clearer and more transparent right after cleaning.
