A place for pizza and beer in Dangsan
If you're looking for somewhere in Dangsan to have a casual drink with a friend and some good pizza, there's a spot worth keeping an eye on. When you search for Dangsan restaurants there are plenty of pizza places, but ones that get the mood right too are rarer than you'd think.

Long Time No See Dangsan Branch (롱타임노씨 당산점), where I went this time, is right there the moment you come out of Dangsan Station, so access is really great. It's easy to pick as a meeting spot after work, and it felt like a place you can drop into late in the evening without any fuss.
The exterior has a fairy-tale cabin feel that catches your eye, and then the mood inside is completely different. Warm lighting plus a casual pub vibe made it perfect for pizza and beer. The second I walked in I thought, "I picked the right place tonight."
Where is Long Time No See Dangsan Branch, and how close is it to Dangsan Station?

It's right in front of Dangsan Station, so there's almost no stress finding it. You come out of the subway, walk a few steps and you're there, which makes it really convenient as a meeting point.
It's a good place to visit after work, and the location is easy for a casual pizza-and-beer weekend too. There were lots of people around even late, so it felt comfortable to go.
What's in the self-service corner?

The self-service zone was really well equipped. Water, small plates, sauces, even forks and knives are free to use, so you never have to keep calling staff over.
There was popcorn too, so waiting for the food wasn't boring, and I liked that the basic conveniences were covered. Everything was kept neat and clean, so there was no inconvenience the whole time.
The beer tag system: the fun of pouring your own

This was the most impressive part. You pour as much of a wide range of beers as you like yourself, so it's fun to pick them to your own taste.

Tasting one glass at a time and comparing is fun too, so beer lovers will really like it. Wow, there were more kinds than I expected, so choosing what to drink was a real dilemma.

Being able to try new beers without any pressure was a big plus as well.
Is the mood good for pizza and beer?
Overall it was lively yet still good for talking. It suits dates, get-togethers with friends and even company dinners.

The tables weren't squeezed too close together, so it felt comfortable, and the soft lighting made the food look even tastier. Photos came out pretty too, so it's a satisfying place for posting on social media.
How was the tomato spinach pizza?

The first thing I noticed was how generously it was piled with fresh spinach.

The tomato's freshness, the cheese's savoriness and the spinach blended naturally and it was much more harmonious than I expected. Balsamic sauce and a creamy dressing lifted the flavor even more.

Especially, the crust edge is packed with cheese, so the moment you bite in the cheese stretches out. Wow, this part was seriously satisfying.
How was the combination pizza?

I expected it to be good since it's a familiar combo, and it beat my expectations.

There was plenty of cheese, and ham, olives, bell pepper and tomato were spread evenly, so every slice was well balanced.

The dough was crisp outside and chewy inside, so I could enjoy it right to the edge, and with the cheese crust added, even the last bite left nothing to be desired.
Peach beer vs Hoegaarden: which goes better with pizza?

The peach beer has a subtle peach aroma and a sweet, refreshing feel, so it went really well with the pizza.

Hoegaarden, with its soft foam and light body, tidied up my mouth nicely when eating the cheese-heavy pizza.

Alternating between the two, each had a clear charm, which added to the fun of choosing beers. Wow, it was a pretty satisfying pizza-and-beer combination.
Service
The staff were friendly and quick to explain whatever was needed, so even a first-time visitor can use the place without trouble. The self-service system and staff service balance well, so I could just focus on eating comfortably.
The whole shop was kept clean, which made me trust the food more, and I had a pleasant time throughout.
Atmosphere

A casual pub feel and warm wood-tone interior blend well. The lighting is soft, so it's good for talking and food photos come out nicely.
It's good for pizza and beer with friends, easy as a date spot, and fits company dinners or gatherings just as well.
Wrapping up

If you want to properly enjoy pizza and beer together in Dangsan, Long Time No See Dangsan Branch looks like a satisfying choice. Above all, it's right in front of Dangsan Station so access is excellent,

and the tag system for picking your own beers makes it a different kind of fun from an ordinary pizza place. The self-service corner is well set up so you can freely use what you need, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed, so it's nice to stay a long time.

The tomato spinach pizza impressed with its mix of fresh vegetables and cheese, and the combination pizza nailed the familiar flavor everyone likes.

The cheese-filled crust in particular was so good I ate it down to the very end. Adding peach beer and Hoegaarden brought out the charm of pizza and beer even more.

Next time I'd like to taste other craft beers one by one and try new combinations. Atmosphere, food, beer and access were all satisfying, so if you're looking for a good spot in Dangsan, it's worth a visit and I recommend it.
