Was the charcoal cleansing balm irritating on sensitive skin?

I expected charcoal to be good for absorbing sebum, but I was also worried that it might be irritating. When I used it myself, the balm softened further with my body heat and seemed to gently melt lip makeup and the eye area. I felt almost no irritation, and my skin felt hydrated rather than tight after cleansing.

What were the cleansing balm container and texture like?

The cleansing balm came with a spatula and also had a clear inner cover to prevent it from drying out. When I massaged it over my nose and T-zone, it felt oily, and I kept rubbing because it seemed as though sebum granules were coming out. Still, it felt gentle on my skin without irritation.

I usually manage sebum by massaging cleansing oil for a long time about once a month, and after rinsing with water, the area around my nose felt noticeably cleaner. However, rather than stopping with a water rinse alone, I followed up with the foam cleanser.

How did the foam and cleansing feel when I finished with the foam cleanser?

The foam cleanser had a dark gray formula. When I added a little water to lather it, it produced soft, fine bubbles rather than a rich foam, and the bubbles disappeared relatively quickly when I rinsed with water.

Finishing with the foam after the cleansing balm, the fine bubbles seemed to gently wrap around my face. It felt fresh without any slippery residue, and my skin seemed to retain moisture rather than feeling tight after cleansing. Right after use, my skin texture felt smooth and the hydrated feeling continued.

My honest verdict after using both products together

On days when I wore makeup and sunscreen, the combination of removing them with the balm and finishing with the foam worked well for me. I especially liked that my skin felt refined without tightness after cleansing.
