Chodang-dong dessert café with coffee ice cube latte: Coffee Dripper

Coffee Dripper is a quiet, wood-toned dessert café on Nanseolheon-ro in Chodang-dong, Gangneung. After looking out at the sea at Gangmun Beach, the writer stopped by Coffee Dripper for the signature dripper latte at 6,500 won, an iced latte made with coffee ice cubes, and tofu pudding at 7,000 won that a 19-month-old baby finished all by herself. With parking right in front of the café and a clean bathroom, Coffee Dripper is an easy, relaxed stop with a young child.

Gangneung makguksu restaurant with a 19-month-old: Gossi's Donghae

Gossi's Donghae Makguksu & Sundubu Kalguksu Main Branch is an ocean-view makguksu (buckwheat cold noodle) restaurant right in front of Gangmun Beach in Gangneung, Gangwon. On a visit with a 19-month-old, the table shared perilla oil makguksu at 11,000 won, bibim makguksu at 12,000 won and salad buckwheat gimbap at 6,500 won, and the toddler finished half a bowl of the perilla oil makguksu with plenty of high chairs on hand. With dogs allowed on the third floor, Gossi's Donghae Makguksu works well for a Gangneung trip with a baby or a pet.
