Sokcho sashimi takeout with bone-free mulhoe on request: Hoega

Hoega is a sashimi takeout restaurant in the Gyodong residential area of Sokcho, Gangwon. On a second visit, Hoega packed mixed sashimi (small) for 43,000 won and mixed mulhoe (cold spicy raw fish soup) for 60,000 won in total, with the mulhoe made from whole-fish sashimi only instead of segeosi (thin-cut bone-in fish), so every bite was bone-free. Thick-cut fish plus ssamjang, minced garlic and mukeunji (aged kimchi) included with the takeout make Hoega the only stop needed for sashimi in Sokcho.
