Gangneung Korean set meal with parking, 19,000 won: Saimdang Bueok
Saimdang Bueok is a Korean set-meal (hanjeongsik) restaurant with its own parking lot on Jukheon-gil in Gangneung, Gangwon. On a weekend trip with their kids, the writer reserved ahead, was seated right away, and ordered the signature Saimhansang set at 19,000 won with miyeok-guk (seaweed soup) plus an added sundubu (soft tofu stew), arriving as a full spread of braised pollock, seasoned gungchae greens, grilled scallops in basil sauce and japchae (stir-fried glass noodles). Between the big parking lot, wide spacing between tables and plenty of high chairs, Saimdang Bueok works well for a family meal with young children.
