Gangneung café with its own parking lot and milk ice cream: Baegya
In short
Baegya Coffee is an ocean-view bakery café spread over three floors on Haean-ro in Gangneung, Gangwon. Visiting with a child, we parked in the café's own lot and ordered oksigi (corn) ice cream, Sanghamokjang milk ice cream, an iced Americano and a hot latte. Tables are spaced widely enough for a stroller, and with parking, sea views and desserts all in one place, Baegya Coffee is an easy stop for families.

During my Gangneung trip, I visited Baegya Coffee, an ocean-view café. I'd been looking for a Gangneung ocean-view café where I could truly heal while listening to the waves, and that's how I ended up here. It was easy to visit with a kid, and the wide-open sea view was really impressive — here's my honest review, plus parking and menu info.
Where is Baegya Coffee, and what are the hours and parking?
- Address: 607 Haean-ro, 1st–3rd floor, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do
- Hours: Daily 09:00–21:00 (last order 20:30)
- Parking: Dedicated on-site parking lot, plus nearby public parking available
The entrance and parking lot: is it easy with a child?

This Gangneung ocean-view café stands out with its modern, clean white building visible from far away. The whole building has huge windows facing the sea, so my expectations for the view were already high before I even walked in.
Parking was really convenient since there's a dedicated lot right in front of the café. A lot of cafés along the Gangneung coast are a headache for parking, but Baegya Coffee had generous parking spaces that even beginner drivers could handle easily, which made getting around with my kid very satisfying!
Inside Baegya Coffee: window seats and the 2nd-floor terrace

The window seats especially were a sunlight paradise where every shot came out looking amazing. Going up to the 2nd floor, there's also a terrace seat where you can look down at the sea from a higher spot — the perfect place to enjoy the outdoor breeze on a nice day.

The moment I opened the door, the emerald sea stretching out beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows caught my eye instantly. The overall white and wood-toned interior felt clean yet cozy. The seating gaps were also really wide, making it great for bringing a stroller or sitting together with a kid.
What's on the Baegya Coffee menu and bakery counter?

True to being a bakery café, Baegya Coffee had a really wide selection of breads. I wanted to eat everything and it was almost dizzying, but I held back... haha... there are lots of other dessert spots to try too... haha.

There were so many cakes and so many types of bread that I really wanted to eat all of it...

The most famous menu item at this Gangneung ocean-view café is the oksigi (corn) ice cream. We ordered that along with the Sanghamokjang ice cream, plus an iced Americano and a hot latte for the adults.
How the oksigi corn and Sanghamokjang milk ice creams tasted

Our order came out right away. It looked so pretty, haha. What even is that color of the oksigi ice cream... haha.

Gangneung had a lot of sea wind, so it was chillier than I expected. I really regretted not bringing a jacket, so I ended up drinking the hot latte. Gangneung gets chilly, so make sure to bring a jacket, haha.

The oksigi ice cream had a really strong, rich corn flavor and was very nutty. It was also topped with cereal, which gave it a nice crunch too.

The Sanghamokjang milk ice cream was just a plain milk ice cream, haha. One of us wanted chocolate ice cream but they didn't have it... so it couldn't be helped.

Is Baegya Coffee worth a stop with kids?
This Gangneung ocean-view café had it all — a gorgeous sea view, delicious desserts, and convenient parking. It's a great date spot for couples wanting to heal while gazing at an open ocean view, and thanks to the spacious layout and easy parking, I'd also strongly recommend it to families traveling with kids. If you're planning a trip to Gangneung, definitely stop by!
