In short
Ogong Donkatsu is a new Western-style pork cutlet (donkatsu) restaurant on the ground floor of Smart Square Building B in Songdo District 5, Yeonsu, Incheon. After a workout, the writer and a friend ordered the signature Ogong Donkatsu (12,000 won) and the cheese donkatsu (14,000 won), and were happy with the thick pork, house-made sauce and stretchy cheese. Ogong Donkatsu is a solid, crowd-pleasing Western-style cutlet spot in Songdo that gets the basics right.

Today I'm writing about Ogong Donkatsu, a new Western-style pork cutlet place in Songdo's District 5 that I visited after a workout~

Where is Ogong Donkatsu in Songdo, and where can you park?
Ogong Donkatsu is at 27 Songdomirae-ro 11beon-gil, Unit 121, 1F Building B, Smart Square, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, right on the main road. It's open 11:00–21:00 and closed on Sundays.

Park in the building's underground garage, and just tell the staff when you pay at Ogong Donkatsu and they'll cover your parking, haha

Inside Ogong Donkatsu: good for solo diners and kids?
The inside is L-shaped. The back has bar seating, which makes it a great setup for a solo lunch in Songdo, while the front has 4-person tables that work well for groups~

The country-of-origin labels were posted inside, and it was nice to see that most ingredients are domestic, haha. They also have high chairs, so it looked like a good place to bring a child~

Besides cutlets, the wall was promoting garlic tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), which seemed like a nice side to order if you come as a couple or with friends~ They also say they don't use roux (flour and butter) and make their sauce in-house~ All of that made it clear to me this is an Incheon cutlet place that doesn't skimp on ingredients!

There's a kiosk at each seat so you can order right when you sit down~ And if you leave a Naver receipt review, they give you a drink, so it seemed worth doing the review for the freebie~

Ogong Donkatsu menu and prices
The menu at Ogong Donkatsu runs from the signature Ogong Donkatsu at ₩12,000 up to the Ogong set at ₩14,000. Here's what's on it!
- Ogong Donkatsu ₩12,000
- Ogong Donkatsu, large portion ₩14,000
- Cheese cutlet ₩14,000
- Sweet pumpkin cutlet ₩13,000
- Sweet potato cutlet ₩13,000
- Fish cutlet ₩11,000
- Ogong set (pork cutlet + fish cutlet + hamburg steak) ₩14,000
- Garlic tteokbokki ₩4,000
- Drink ₩2,000
It's not a big menu, but that seemed to mean they focus all the more on what they serve!

How does the signature Ogong Donkatsu cutlet taste?
Our Ogong Donkatsu and cheese cutlet have arrived!

First, my Ogong Donkatsu (₩12,000) came with two big pieces of cutlet, cabbage salad, corn salad, rice, a warm soup, pickled radish and pickles!

See the crispy-looking coating on the side where the sauce is poured? It's a Western-style cutlet, but the texture is still there~ The soup that came with it was warm too, great for settling the stomach~

Veggies first, right? I had a bite of cabbage salad and then the cutlet~ For a Western-style cutlet the meat is quite thick, and above all the sauce clearly doesn't taste like a store-bought one, which made me happy~

Is Ogong Donkatsu's cheese cutlet worth it for cheese lovers?
The cheese cutlet (₩14,000) my friend ordered wasn't flat but plump, with a bit of a ball-katsu look~
When we cut it in half and pulled it apart, the cheese stretched and stretched, which cheese lovers will definitely love, haha

The stretchy refrigerated cheese and a good meat-to-cheese ratio balanced the cheese cutlet nicely, and the stretching made it fun to eat~
What to order for two at Ogong Donkatsu
Personally, if two of you come to Ogong Donkatsu, I'd order one cheese cutlet and one other cutlet, share a piece of the cheese cutlet first, and then move on to the other cutlet. That way you get to enjoy a few kinds~
Final verdict on Ogong Donkatsu in Songdo
Ogong Donkatsu, the new Western-style cutlet place in Songdo's District 5, has a tasty sauce and cutlets that stick to the basics, so it's a place almost anyone can leave satisfied with~ If you're craving a Western-style cutlet, give it a try~
