Lunch on the way to Wolmido with rear parking: Sopuri, Yeonan Pier

24-Hour Sopuri Yangpyeong Haejangguk, Yeonan Pier General Fish Market Branch is a 24-hour Korean soup restaurant in Jemulpo, Incheon, right beside the Yeonan Pier fish market. Stopping in for lunch on the way to Wolmido, the writer ordered a regular haenaetang (seafood soup) and Korean beef head gukbap (rice soup), and the self bar's unlimited ox blood and rice made one bowl feel like two. Loop right past the storefront and there is a wide parking lot behind the building, plus a coffee machine and free bottled and ice water on the way out.

Last table on a heatwave lunch at a Gwacheon duck BBQ: Deo Chadol

Deo Chadol is a duck brisket BBQ and duck jumulleok (marinated duck) restaurant on Dwitgol 2-ro in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi. On a record heatwave day, lunch here before a Seoul Grand Park date meant taking the very last open table, and the waiting line started right after; the couple set brings duck brisket BBQ, duck jumulleok, doenjang jjigae and fried rice for one. Public parking lots front and back make Deo Chadol easy to reach by car, and the fried rice finished with sesame oil from the self-serve bar was the highlight.
