Cedar-steamed family restaurant in Yeongjong, Incheon: Pyeonpyeonjip

We were having a peaceful staycation with family at Grand Hyatt Incheon and headed out for dinner in great spirits. My son is the kind of kid who'd wake up from a dead sleep for pyeonbaekjjim (cedar-steamed dish) and shabu-shabu, haha. I was already excited imagining him digging in. This place is also famous as a lunch spot near Inspire, so we went to check it out — today I'm introducing Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch, my pick for a Yeongjong Sky City family meal.

Parking at Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch is really convenient, so even new drivers can come without worrying.

For moms raising kids, parking is always the biggest concern when eating out. Seeing that Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch offers 2 hours of free underground parking was such a relief. We walked in with zero parking stress.

Since it's a new spot, the interior is super clean too

I especially recommend the window seats — close to the all-you-can-eat self-bar and refreshingly bright.

Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch has a kids zone! It's a playroom for children up to 120cm and around 9 years old. So grateful that adults can eat in peace while the kids have fun playing!!!

Oh, and a claw machine — can't resist that.

Baby chairs are also well stocked for moms with little ones.

What is on the all-you-can-eat self bar?

From shabu-shabu broths to lettuce-wrap fillings, fresh vegetables, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), fried snacks, toast, and drinks — genuinely packed full.

A satisfying all-you-can-eat course where you can try pyeonbaekjjim, lettuce wraps, and shabu-shabu all in one sitting. They use organic vegetables sourced directly from farms too.

After the wait, it's time to dig into the pyeonbaekjjim first!!! Healthy beef brisket 👍👍👍👍 dipping the steamed cabbage, bean sprouts, and beef brisket into the scallion-chili soy sauce was pure happiness.

Pile the lettuce wrap with veggies, top with meat and peanut sauce, roll it up!!!!! It becomes a spring roll. So, so good.

Boiled everything down in the broth and the vegetable stock was outstanding. Added the shabu-shabu meat too.

Dipping the well-cooked meat into the sauce made me so happy 😊😊😊😊😊 Lettuce wraps + pyeonbaekjjim + shabu-shabu — the ultimate meal that all ages can enjoy together. My family was thoroughly satisfied!!!!!

Is Pyeonpyeonjip worth it for a family meal?

The food was clean and delicious, and the space came fully equipped with a kids' playroom and convenient parking. It was such a grateful day, sharing good food and making warm memories with the people I love.
