City-view café opposite the old Homeplus in Gojan-dong, Ansan: Nyanya

This is Nyanya (냐냐), a big café in Gojan-dong, Ansan, that I visited after lunch. It's a café with cats, and of all the Gojan New Town cafés I've been to, it felt the most spacious and comfortable! They also serve Hong Kong waffles.

Where is Nyanya in Gojan-dong, and how does parking work?

Nyanya, a large café in Gojan-dong, Ansan, is on the 5th floor of World Town Building A in Gojan New Town (174 Gwangdeok-daero, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi, South Korea). Hours are Tue–Sat 12:00–22:00 and Sunday 12:00–21:00, and it's closed on Mondays. There are no high chairs.

Being on the 5th floor makes it feel fresher, and the view is great too! You can park in the World Town underground car park: 1 hour free with a purchase of ₩10,000 or more, and 2 hours free with ₩20,000 or more. World Town is one of the easier buildings for parking in Gojan New Town, so it's good for visiting.

What is the cat area at Nyanya like?

There are two cute cats at Nyanya! They're munchkins, which people call little predators. Because of that, pets aren't allowed inside.

There's a big cat tower like this. When I went, they were sleeping like this 🐈 The cat area has a guard fence, and you can also go in and give them treats. So it's fine whether you love cats or are scared of them! I think cats are cute too, but I prefer admiring them from afar, so I only watched from outside the fence.

Nyanya is quite spacious and comfortable! The white-toned interior had a nice mood too.

And since Nyanya is on the 5th floor directly across from the old Homeplus, you get a city view of Gojan New Town, of sorts haha. Everyone my age in Ansan knows this spot.. the Homeplus that's gone now.

Are the seats at Nyanya comfortable?

Nyanya has all kinds of table styles and plenty of comfy sofa seats, so it's good for a date too. Cafés like this often have uncomfortable chairs, but the chairs here were comfortable. We went on a weekday and it was quiet, which made it even better.

Pretty little props are placed all around, so it's fun to wander and look. The café is big and fairly quiet, so it's also good for studying or working.

Nyanya's menu and what we ordered

Nyanya's menu has a wide range of drinks and desserts! They also have a special Hong Kong waffle. We ordered an Americano, an iced café latte and a brown cheese croffle.

I was going to get the Hong Kong waffle, Nyanya's signature, but then I saw the croffle (croissant waffle) and picked that instead. There are dessert photos, so you can look and choose. Next time I'll visit for the Hong Kong waffle.

How does Nyanya's brown cheese croffle taste?

Soon after, the Americano, iced café latte and brown cheese croffle all came out. They looked great right away.

Nyanya's brown cheese croffle comes with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream and plenty of brown cheese sprinkled on top! That one scoop of vanilla is seriously, really big. Vanilla ice cream + brown cheese + croffle is a combo you can always trust.

I cut it up and ate it with the ice cream on top. It was baked nice and crispy, so delicious. I'd just come from eating meat and was really full, but it was so good I finished it all.

Cute props everywhere, and the croffle with good coffee was the best too. The café is big, the mood is nice and the dessert is tasty, so I recommend Nyanya when you're looking for a large café in Gojan-dong, Ansan.
