Gojan New Town taco spot in Ansan: solo signature trio, The Taco Booth
In short
The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is a Mexican taco restaurant on Gwangdeokseo-ro in Gojan New Town, Ansan. Dining alone, the writer ordered the three signatures (birria tacos, guacamole and crispy consommé corn ribs) and singled out the cheese-packed crispy birria taco and the crunchy corn ribs as the highlights. With solo seating and a well-equipped self-bar, The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is a good place in Ansan to enjoy tacos on your own.

I had errands in Ansan, so I stopped by The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch (더타코부스 안산고잔점) for a solo meal. I love Mexican food like tacos and burritos, and this place is honestly one of the best taco spots in Ansan.
The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch: location and opening hours
The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is in Gojan New Town, Ansan, at 56 Gwangdeokseo-ro, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi, South Korea, on the first floor of Geumgang Plaza. It is open 11:30–22:00 on weekdays and weekends, with a break from 14:30 to 16:30, and closed on Wednesdays. There are no high chairs.

Where to park for The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch
The building has no parking of its own, so you'll need the nearby roadside public parking or a public parking lot. There is a roadside lot right in front of the shop, but it's often full, so I usually use the lot right in front of the AW wedding hall.
Parking is cheap and there are lots of spaces, so I recommend this one!
Atmosphere and solo dining seats
The shop isn't big, but the atmosphere is great. It works for a quick solo lunch, a date, or a meal with friends.

There's a variety of seating and even solo seats, so it's good for eating alone. That's what I did, too.

Self-bar and hand-washing sink
The self-bar is really well done! One of the nice things is that there's even a spot inside the shop to wash your hands. The self-bar has everything you need for eating tacos: a water purifier, wet wipes, utensils, disposable gloves, sauces and more. I stocked up properly, of course.
The Taco Booth menu and the three signatures I ordered

The Taco Booth has a wide range of Mexican dishes, from fajitas to tacos, poke, burritos and quesadillas. I ordered the birria tacos, crispy consommé corn ribs and guacamole! All three are The Taco Booth's signature dishes.

There are also affordable set menus, and you can choose whether to have cilantro when you order! I picked no cilantro, done.

They're also running a Naver receipt review event.
What do The Taco Booth's birria tacos taste like?

First out were the birria tacos, The Taco Booth's signature, which were featured on the Korean TV show Master of Living (생활의 달인). Birria tacos use beef slow-simmered with dried Mexican chilies and spices, then shredded along the grain, in a crispy taco made by frying the tortilla. It comes with a deep red stew broth, the sauce the meat was cooked in, and honestly it was so good even without dipping.

I squeezed some lime over it too. The cheese makes it look amazing right away.

It's absolutely packed with cheese, and it's so hot that it drips, so you have to hold it in your hands and eat carefully. The meat inside was delicious, and above all, being a crispy taco made it even better.

Can you feel the crunch? Even with my tiny stomach, I could have eaten three pieces of this taco, it was that good!
Guacamole to cut through the richness

And when the birria taco starts to feel a little heavy, guacamole is the thing to eat. Guacamole is always cool, fresh and tasty! It went well with the birria taco too.

Crispy consommé corn ribs: a side for corn lovers
The crispy consommé corn ribs are a side dish at The Taco Booth: corn fried until super, super crunchy. It comes with a sauce!

If you're a corn fanatic, you have to order this. The nachos were also sprinkled with lots of consommé powder, which made them even better!
Would I go back to The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch?
I love Mexican food so much that I visit The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch regularly, and true to its name as a top Ansan taco spot, both the tacos and the sides were delicious! I'd like to come back for a burrito or other dishes. If you're looking for a good taco place in Ansan, I recommend The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch.
