Bucheon Korean restaurant, 12 sides & big mackerel for 3: Gim Myeongju

Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjungdong Branch is a Korean set-meal restaurant behind Lotte Department Store in Sinjungdong, Bucheon, serving the Tteuranchae Bapsang set with unlimited rice, cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) and side dishes. On a weekday evening, three of us (the writer and their parents) had 3 Tteuranchae Bapsang sets at ₩13,000 per person plus a ₩15,000 grilled mackerel. Not one of the 12 side dishes was a miss, and the mackerel was large and meaty. Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjungdong Branch is a good Bucheon Korean restaurant for taking your parents.

Korean BBQ in Sinjungdong with my parents: no-splatter grill, Cham

Cham Dwaejitgan (참돼짓간) Bucheon Sinjungdong Branch is a 24-hour Korean BBQ restaurant open every day in the eatery alley by Sinjungdong Station Exit 3 in Bucheon. On a weekday evening with my parents, we ordered 2 servings of Boseong green-tea-fed pork belly and 1 serving of flower pork neck, plus margarine soy sauce egg rice, giant steamed egg and doenjang (soybean paste) stew, and staff grilled the meat for us on a handmade, no-splatter grill plate. For a family dinner of pork belly without the work of grilling, Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjungdong Branch is a great fit.

Cafe Neorae's tissue bread tastes even better after 30 seconds in the 2nd-floor microwave, and the Ulsanbawi view left the parents thoroughly pleased.
