I got a layered cut at Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch (에코레비헤어 이대점), a hair salon near Ewha Womans Univ. Station. The weather suddenly got so hot lately, and my long hair felt so heavy T_T And I'm about to spend some time overseas, so I wanted to get my hair cut in Korea first, and off to the salon I went!

I got a layered cut at a salon near Ewha Womans Univ. Station and my hair looks so much neater than before, I'm totally happy with it!! Here begins my honest review of Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch ☺️

Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch: location, parking and hours

Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch is at 4 Ihwayeodae 2-gil, 2nd floor, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, about a 2-minute walk from Exit 3 of Ewha Womans Univ. Station. It's open daily 10:30–20:30, takes bookings, and offers a first-visit discount.

It's right by Exits 3 and 4 of Ewha Womans Univ. Station! You can park, but it's paid, so I'd recommend going by public transport. (Parking: ₩3,000 for the first 30 minutes // ₩3,000 per additional 30 minutes)

Visiting with a same-day Naver booking

It turns out I hadn't cut my hair in quite a while. My ends were really damaged and dry, so I came in for a cut. I was running errands nearby and made a quick same-day booking on Naver!

What's the inside and waiting area of Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch like?

The inside of Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch isn't huge, but it's nice and tidy. It's close to the subway station, so getting there was super easy.

The salon is open until 20:30 Monday to Sunday, so it's convenient that you can get your hair done on weekdays or weekends.

They also set out drinks and snacks. There was coffee, green tea, dungulle tea (roasted Solomon's seal tea), hot chocolate and iced tea, but the weather was hot that day, so I just asked for a glass of water!

They stored my bag separately and even gave me a locker key! I got there a bit before my booking time, so I sat and waited.

Can you get a scalp check before a cut?

What impressed me most at Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch is that even cut-only customers can get a scalp check. It's also a head spa and scalp clinic specialist. They told me my scalp isn't in bad shape, so what a relief, haha.

It was my first scalp check ever, and it was useful to hear about my scalp's current condition. Honestly, I think scalp care matters more than the hair itself! If you have scalp concerns, I recommend getting it looked after. I use a scalp serum regularly, and they said getting scaling once in a while is even better for the scalp.

A cooling shampoo on a humid day

They did the shampoo before the cut. It was so humid that day and my head was really sweaty.. lol But they washed my hair with a cooling shampoo and it felt sooooo refreshing.

Layered cut result and how long it took

The layered cut at Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch took just under 1 hour from shampoo to blow-dry. Ta-da!! This is my new hair, dried and fully cut. I could really feel my hair getting so much lighter ☺️

The left is the before photo, and wow, what a difference. The trimmed side definitely looks much better, doesn't it? To keep the length, I recommend cutting every 3 months 🙌🏻 My ends were so frizzy, dry and tangled, but after a clean layered cut they look much calmer!!!

I was so excited about my lighter hair that I took a few selfies 📸 They also trimmed my side bangs and blow-dried my hair! Sadly I had no plans afterward.. so I went straight home haha.

I'd recommend Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch as a salon near Ewha Womans Univ. Station! The prices are reasonable and you can get scalp care too. Next time I'll go back for dyeing or a perm~~!
