Roi Sikdang Hanam Misa Main Branch is a Japanese home-style restaurant on Misagangbyeonbuk-ro 30beon-gil in Hanam, Gyeonggi. Instead of cooking at home on a Friday evening, the writer booked a table through Naver Reservation and ordered the eggplant tempura meat rice bowl set, where crisp-outside, soft-inside eggplant came with meat and rice for a filling meal. The small room and the hand-drawn menu book make Roi Sikdang an easy place to eat alone.

Hanam jjukkumi restaurant with forest bench coffee and no 3pm wait

Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch is a jjukkumi (webfoot octopus) and solbap (pot rice) set restaurant on Seohanam-ro 390beon-gil in Hanam, Gyeonggi, on the road over to Gamil. A couple and their 7-year-old arrived around 3pm, ordered two perilla-oil jjukkumi pot rice sets and a gorgonzola pizza, then had machine coffee on a bench in the woods outside the restaurant after eating. There was no wait at that hour, and stirring the perilla oil through the jjukkumi brought out its flavor, making Jigueseo On a good pick for a day when you want a short drive out without going far.
