Hanam jjukkumi restaurant with forest bench coffee and no 3pm wait
In short
Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch is a jjukkumi (webfoot octopus) and solbap (pot rice) set restaurant on Seohanam-ro 390beon-gil in Hanam, Gyeonggi, on the road over to Gamil. A couple and their 7-year-old arrived around 3pm, ordered two perilla-oil jjukkumi pot rice sets and a gorgonzola pizza, then had machine coffee on a bench in the woods outside the restaurant after eating. There was no wait at that hour, and stirring the perilla oil through the jjukkumi brought out its flavor, making Jigueseo On a good pick for a day when you want a short drive out without going far.

It was a day with an especially pretty autumn sky.
Too restless to stay home, I took my husband and our 7-year-old Duzzi and headed for a restaurant on the road past Gamil. Even though it's close by since we live in Hanam, driving out there felt like heading off to Yangpyeong or Gapyeong for some fresh air.

Where is Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch, and when is it open?
Our destination was Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch, which I found while searching for a jjukkumi restaurant in Hanam. It's at 5 Seohanam-ro 390beon-gil, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do, open daily 11:00–21:00, closed every Thursday.

It's a good idea to double-check the closing day or hours before you go.

My husband and I both love jjukkumi (webfoot octopus), so our expectations were high, and since Duzzi can't handle spicy food, we figured gorgonzola pizza would do the trick for her. The weather was so good on the way there that our mood was already sky-high.
A 3pm visit to Jigueseo On: quiet, with no wait
We got there around 3pm and walked straight in with no waiting. The inside of Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch was bright, clean, and pretty, and the staff service was quick too, which we appreciated.
Close to home, but it felt like we were on a trip

We ordered two perilla-oil jjukkumi hot pot rice sets and a gorgonzola pizza. The food came out fast.

Banchan and seaweed soup: what a 7-year-old can eat here
What exceeded our expectations, though, was the banchan (side dishes).

Salted pollock roe, jellyfish salad, japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), and salad — all of it was clean-tasting and delicious, enough that I could've eaten a whole bowl of rice with just the side dishes.

The seaweed soup was tasty too, so Duzzi mixed it into her rice and ate it up happily.

I wondered for a second if the pizza was an unnecessary order, but sure enough, our kid ate that up too — so no regrets after all, haha.

Perilla-oil jjukkumi: why you should stir the oil in
When the perilla-oil jjukkumi at Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch arrived, there was something important to remember.
Adding the perilla oil made the jjukkumi flavor pop

That's right — you're supposed to pour in the perilla oil and mix it all together!

I nearly skipped it, momentarily confusing it with the honey that came with the pizza, but once I mixed it in, the sweet, nutty flavor and umami really came alive.
It tasted so much better than eating it plain that I decided this step was absolutely non-negotiable.

Eating it together with the hot pot rice made the meal really filling, and the jjukkumi paired well with the rice too.
Trying it firsthand, I could see why people seek this place out as a jjukkumi spot in Hanam. Because of the spice, Duzzi stuck to the pizza, side dishes, and seaweed soup, but us adults got to properly enjoy the jjukkumi.

Finishing off with the scorched rice from the hot pot made it truly filling.
After the meal: machine coffee and ice cream on the forest bench
After we finished eating and stepped outside, there was a bench tucked in the woods.
Having coffee too made the day even fuller

You can get coffee and ice cream there too, and since the coffee comes from a machine rather than instant mix, it was nice to have after the meal.
Sitting on the bench, looking at the pretty sky, listening to the sound of water while sipping coffee, it really did feel like we were on a trip.

The good weather probably made it extra special, but it was great being able to enjoy a nice meal, a bit of relaxation, and even a drive-getaway feeling so close to home in Hanam.

Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch was also a good spot for a family meal out, and I found myself thinking I'd like to bring friends or close younger siblings here to treat them next time.

Best order combo at Jigueseo On when you bring a child

Best of all, it's not just a spot to eat and leave — you can also step outside and take a little break. If you're looking for a jjukkumi restaurant in Hanam and want to combine a good meal with a light drive-getaway feeling, this is one worth remembering. Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch — I'll have to come back with friends next time.
There was parking space too, so it was easy to visit by car, and going slightly outside of peak mealtime let us eat at a relaxed pace. When eating out as a family, whether there's a menu the kid can eat matters, and having pizza and seaweed soup made things much easier.

I'm curious about the other menu items too, so I want to stop by again. It was a quietly delightful discovery this close to home. If you visit on a nice-weather day, be sure to enjoy the outdoor scenery after your meal too. I'd recommend this as a jjukkumi spot in Hanam. I'll definitely be back.
