What is the Gimhae book café Peer a Peer like?
Peer a Peer is a large book café in Jillye-myeon, Gimhae. I found it by searching for cafés with big parking lots. It's a big Gimhae café, but far more atmospheric than I expected, so my phone nearly burst from all the photos I took.

Peer a Peer hours and parking
The address is 139-5 Jillye-ro, Jillye-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam. Hours are 11:00–20:00 Monday to Friday and 11:00–21:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
The parking lot is enormous, so parking was easy. The exterior already had an exotic feel, and the outdoor area has quite a few tables, perfect for enjoying the lovely autumn weather.
The chic exterior was already striking, but I was even more surprised once I pushed open the big, unique revolving door and went inside. Stay with me!
How is the inside of Peer a Peer divided?
The inside is split into varied concepts so it never gets boring: a photo zone, sofa zone, reading corner, baking room, kitchen, sharing table and more. Below is the floor plan.

Peer a Peer bread, cake and drink menu
Right as you enter, you run into the bread display and the order counter.

The bread is restocked as soon as it comes out of the oven, so with good timing you can get warm, freshly baked bread.

This is the drink lineup at Peer a Peer, a big Gimhae café that uses Momos Coffee beans.

The chilled showcase holds cream-based cakes such as Matilda cake, vanilla Basque cheesecake, brownie, tiramisu and mammoth crumble.

Croissants, salt bread, egg tarts, 64-layer bread and more, all of it looked delicious, so I agonized over the choice...

I ended up with the triple cheese ciabatta, which had a "best" tag, and the lemon meringue croissant, limited to one per party.
What are the reading zone and sharing table like at Peer a Peer?
Peer a Peer has a reading zone with a lamp on every table and a huge sharing table with outlets. I looked around the café until our buzzer went off.

Peer a Peer is so serious about reading that it recruits members for a book club. The shelves are full of adult books, and when you turn around, there are plenty of children's books too.
The reading zone even has a lamp on every table. A café that looks after your eyesight too? I've never seen that before.
There are baby chairs, so many guests came with small children, and the tables are spaced far enough apart that you can relax without being disturbed.
The sharing table is enormous, and its scale was overwhelming. Even though it's a huge table, outlets are placed here and there, so you can charge your devices and stay all day, and laptop work is possible too.

I came to a café and suddenly it's an art museum! Artworks are displayed in the middle of the table with explanations, and I stood reading them for a long time.

Gentle music from the speakers raised the refinement of this lovely space even more.

What I ordered at Peer a Peer and the prices
- Americano ₩5,500
- Tomato basil ade ₩7,000
- Triple cheese ciabatta ₩5,500
- Lemon meringue croissant ₩6,500

How does the Momos Coffee americano taste?
The americano is brewed with Momos Coffee beans and had lively crema. One sip of that nutty, deep flavor and my trust in the café went UP.
What does the tomato basil ade taste like?
Instead of the usual grapefruit or lemon ade, the ade list had a tomato basil ade, so I ordered it, and the verdict: a huge success. The peeled, marinated cherry tomatoes were sweet and the basil added freshness, so once you put the straw in, you can down it in one go.

They even brought scissors so we could cut the bread, such a thoughtful touch! Cutting it up and sharing with my companion was sweet. Wasting time with someone you like = happiness.
What is the lemon meringue croissant's texture like?
I was curious about the lemon meringue croissant, and the meringue isn't crisp like a meringue cookie but a cream, so it eats soft.

On top of that, there's a generous amount of lemon cream inside, so the tanginess just explodes!

How do you eat the triple cheese ciabatta?
The triple cheese ciabatta came with an olive oil and balsamic vinegar sauce for dipping. The chewy ciabatta met the cheese and the flavor deepened; it was savory and mild enough not to get tiring, so I finished even this big loaf. I'd gone after a full meal, and I ate it all? Seriously?

Peer a Peer overall verdict
Despite the huge space, Peer a Peer was neatly kept in every corner, and in its chic gray and black-and-white tones, just being there felt healing. On top of that, the drinks and bakes were excellent. That was Peer a Peer, a big Gimhae café.
