Haeundae Station bakery: egg tart rivaling HK Bakehouse, Low & Sweet
In short
Low & Sweet Bakery is a bakery café on Haeri-dan-gil near Haeundae Station in Busan, known for its egg tarts. On a visit with a friend, the egg tart (₩3,800), pistachio madeleine (₩3,800) and iced americano (₩5,500) stood out: Low & Sweet's flaky pastry and moist custard held their own against the egg tarts at Hong Kong's Bakehouse. Low & Sweet Bakery is a good café for a dessert break on a Haeri-dan-gil date.

An egg tart place near Haeundae Station: Low & Sweet Bakery. A café I'd recommend for a Haeri-dan-gil date.

I was looking for a café with a nice atmosphere in Haeundae and ended up at Low & Sweet Bakery, where you can have good desserts and coffee together. Haeri-dan-gil is packed with pretty cafés and good eats in every little alley, so it's a lovely area for a date stroll in Haeundae.

I'd heard that Low & Sweet Bakery's egg tarts are seriously good, so this time I finally went to try them.
How to get to Low & Sweet Bakery, and parking
Low & Sweet Bakery is about a 3–5 minute walk from Haeundae Station Exit 4 toward Haeri-dan-gil, so it's easy to reach. You can park for free in the café's own spots, no. 41 and 42, right out front. If they're full, use the public car park (paid) 150 m from the café.

It's in a spot you naturally drop into while wandering the Haeri-dan-gil alleys, so it suits a date course well.

What we ordered at Low & Sweet Bakery, and the prices
At Low & Sweet Bakery we ordered an egg tart (₩3,800), a pistachio madeleine (₩3,800) and an iced americano (₩5,500). Right inside, on the left of the entrance, there's a display of delicious-looking desserts, and these were what we picked after serious deliberation.

My favorite egg tart, one more please!
Low & Sweet's egg tart vs. Hong Kong's Bakehouse
The pastry on Low & Sweet's egg tart is crisp with its layers intact, and the custard inside is soft and moist. Personally, I thought it was every bit as good as Bakehouse's egg tart in Hong Kong. It's the main reason I came to Low & Sweet Bakery: the egg tart!

I like egg tarts in general, so I tend to hunt down places that are famous for them. One bite and I understood why it's mentioned so often as the egg tart spot near Haeundae Station. The crisp, layered pastry and the soft, moist custard make a really great texture combo.

I loved the Bakehouse egg tarts on my trip to Hong Kong (a 30+ minute wait is standard), and personally this tasted just as good. The friend I came with that day was the same friend who went to Hong Kong with me and to Bakehouse too, and she said she'd skip the Hong Kong flight and Bakehouse and just eat Low & Sweet's egg tarts, haha. If you love egg tarts, I really recommend trying them when you're in Haeundae.

How was the pistachio madeleine?
Low & Sweet Bakery's pistachio madeleine was good too. You get a subtle, nutty pistachio flavor, and I expected it to be dry, but it was softer than it looks and melted in my mouth. It went perfectly with the americano.

Is Low & Sweet Bakery a good Haeri-dan-gil date spot?
Low & Sweet Bakery is close to Haeundae Station, so it was a great place to take a short break while strolling Haeri-dan-gil. I think Haeri-dan-gil is best for dates where you don't set a destination, but wander the alleys, stop at cafés and eat good things.

You can relax and chat over tasty dessert and coffee, and afterward keep going by slowly walking the Haeri-dan-gil alleys, browsing nearby cafés and small goods shops. Above all, on a date I like sitting down with one nice dessert and talking about this and that more than rushing around frantically, and in that sense Low & Sweet Bakery is a café I'd recommend as a Haeri-dan-gil date stop.

It's easy to reach from Haeundae Station and you can enjoy coffee with baked treats, so it was perfect for dropping in mid-date on Haeri-dan-gil. If you're looking for somewhere to go on a date near Haeundae Station, or a hip café, give Low & Sweet Bakery a visit.
