A fries snack found at the Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlet: Angry Potato

Angry Potato Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is a fried potato shop on the basement level of the Hyundai Premium Outlet in Songdo. I found it while shopping and getting a little hungry, haha. I like fries, so I couldn't just walk past.

At first I thought it was just an ordinary fries shop, but the menu turned out to be really varied: fries, chewy potato, chicken, mini burgers and cheese sticks. The box menus that let you try lots of things at once especially caught my eye. This time I ordered the Deep Crunch Box and the CAN Angry potato chips, and I was happy with everything from the crunchy fried items to the chewy potato.

Where Angry Potato Songdo is and how to get there

The shop is by the food court entrance on the outlet's B1 floor (the outlet is nicknamed Songhyeona), so it's easy to stop by while shopping. It's connected to the station, which makes it convenient by public transport, and if you drive, you can use the outlet's parking lot.

If you like browsing Songhyeona pop-ups and new food, it's worth a stop. The yellow sign and cute potato character make the shop easy to spot. You can watch the cooking in front of the shop, and you can order and take it to go, which was handy for a quick bite in the middle of shopping.

Angry Potato menu and prices

Basic fries are ₩5,000 and chewy potato is ₩6,500. Angry potato chips come in an M size for ₩5,000 and a CAN size for ₩15,000. It's a fries shop, but the menu was far more varied than I expected.

There are also chili cheese sticks, whole mozzarella cheese sticks, Hot Crunch chicken, mini burger skewers and hot dogs, so you can go from snacks to a hearty meal. Fries topped with different toppings caught my eye too: Angry Meat, chipotle pulled pork, bulgogi (marinated beef), mac and cheese hot chicken and more, so you can choose to your taste.

Box menus for trying a bit of everything

The box menus are the Deep Crunch Box at ₩20,000, the Deep Crunch Chicken Box at ₩19,500 and the Deep Squad Party Pack at ₩37,000. We wanted to taste lots of different things at once, so we ordered the Deep Crunch Box. If you're someone who hunts down good fries, browsing the menu board is half the fun, haha.

Is it a good snack while shopping at Songhyeona?

When sitting down in a restaurant at the Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlet feels like too much, a place like Angry Potato that's easy to eat from is great. Songhyeona has lots of shops and things to look at, so you get hungry quickly while walking around, right? Haha.

If you're looking for a Songhyeona snack, fries or chips are fine to take away, and a set with several items like the Deep Crunch Box can be quite filling.

What was in the Deep Crunch Box?

The Angry Potato Deep Crunch Box (₩20,000) comes with fries plus chicken, a mini burger, cheese sticks and chewy potato, so you can taste a bit of everything. When our box finally arrived, I liked it because it was more generous than I expected, haha.

Eating just one food can get boring fast, but the Deep Crunch Box lets you enjoy different textures and flavors. From crunchy fries to chewy potato to juicy chicken, it works as a snack and would also be fine as a light meal~~

The chewy potato stood out most in the Deep Crunch Box

The item that caught my eye most in the Deep Crunch Box was the chewy potato (jjeondeuk gamja). It's crisp outside and chewy inside, so the texture is different from ordinary fries and fun to bite into.

When you think of potato, you usually picture something fluffy, but as the name says, the chewy potato's springy texture is its charm. If you like chewy desserts and snacks, it should suit your taste. It's a fun texture for kids too, so it seems a fine snack pick if you come shopping in Songdo with a child.

I'd recommend Angry Potato Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch to anyone who wants a light snack in the middle of shopping at the Songdo outlet. The Deep Crunch Box suits people who want a bit of everything, and the CAN Angry potato chips suit people who love crunchy snacks.

It's also a decent stop if you want to try a new snack in Songdo, Incheon. If you like fries, there's the fun of trying various sauces, and takeout makes it very flexible. Next time I'd like to try the chewy potato on its own or the fries with toppings, haha.
