I heard a Bueokgan Restaurant had opened at Oslo Park in Yangsan, famous for brunch, so I went to check it out. The Yangsan Oslo Park branch is Bueokgan's 18th location, and apparently every location is company-run rather than a franchise. I'd been seeing it around a lot lately — must be a rising spot these days.

It's located inside Yangsan Oslo Park, so parking was really easy too. (Parking support provided when dining at Bueokgan Restaurant.)

A dining room inspired by Sweden's national art museum
At Bueokgan Restaurant, the ceilings are high and the space felt really open. The interior was so pretty that I looked it up, and apparently it was designed with inspiration from Sweden's national art museum 🤓

There are group tables too, and the seats are spaced well apart, so it's perfect for chatting while you eat haha

There are plenty of 4-person tables, and the exotic vibe means the decor is different seat to seat, so there's a fun little dilemma of picking where to sit lol. We spent a bit of time deciding where to sit too 😆

Can you bring kids to Bueokgan? Yes Kids Zone
Bueokgan Restaurant is a Yes Kids Zone, with baby dishware and high chairs available, so you can have a relaxed meal with your kids too 👌

Even the cutlery set at the table felt upscale.
Bueokgan's menu, kiosk ordering and corkage-free for 3 bottles

Every table has a kiosk, so you can order comfortably without needing to call a staff member. Oh, and Bueokgan Restaurant apparently promotes a healthy wine culture, so it's corkage-free for up to 3 bottles. Bringing your own wine to pair with pasta and pizza sounds great 😍

The three dishes ordered at Bueokgan
- Rucola prosciutto pizza ₩22,000
- Truffle mushroom gnocchi ₩22,000
- Basil pesto cream pasta ₩18,000
Everything looked delicious, so we decided to order a variety and share ~~

Arugula prosciutto pizza, 22,000 won

The rucola prosciutto pizza is exactly what it sounds like — rucola (arugula) and prosciutto. I think I'd only heard of prosciutto before but never actually eaten it. Apparently prosciutto is an Italian dry-cured ham that adds a salty, deep flavor. Eating it, it felt kind of similar to jamón? Not greasy at all, with a nice savory, clean taste. The dough was chewy too, so I happily ate even the crust.

And the rucola is piled on generously. This might be the most rucola I've seen on a rucola pizza so far 👍

Truffle mushroom gnocchi, 22,000 won

The texture of the potato gnocchi wasn't just soft and mushy — it was really chewy, like sujebi (hand-torn dough soup)!! The outside was nicely crisped and the inside was chewy and soft, so I think even people trying gnocchi for the first time could enjoy this without hesitation, and anyone who already likes gnocchi will find it right up their alley. It's the kind of taste that keeps your hand reaching for more, so we finished it in no time. I think I've properly fallen for gnocchi lately ㅜㅜ🤣

Since it's mushroom gnocchi, there's a good variety of mushrooms in there too. Plenty of king oyster mushrooms, oyster mushrooms and more, all good for you!! On top of that, the truffle cream paired well with the mushrooms, giving it a rich flavor. A really upscale taste haha. It's even better if you scoop up the sauce and gnocchi together with a spoon.

Basil pesto cream pasta, 18,000 won
I ordered the basil pesto cream pasta since I usually love basil and cream pasta. The plating came out so pretty.

On a thick, rich cream sauce base, you get a generous, fresh basil aroma, and the sauce soaked well into the pasta noodles, so it was delicious. If you like cream sauce pasta, I think anyone would enjoy this one!
There's even an egg yolk on top, making it taste even more savory. Bueokgan Restaurant felt like a solid choice whether you're going for a relaxed brunch or a family gathering 🤍
