I recently went looking for shoes at The Hyundai Seoul with my mom, and we ended up at a real Yeouido gem, Bass Burger Yeouido. Back when I worked in Yeouido, Bass Burger was my go-to spot, like a little rice-cake shop you can't walk past, for lunch or after work.
Where is Bass Burger Yeouido?
Bass Burger Yeouido is right across the street from The Hyundai Seoul, on the B1 floor of Yulchon Building. It's a perfect stop before or after shopping at The Hyundai Seoul.

Even after a long time away, I was so happy to see that hip, cozy pub vibe again. The atmosphere is so good that I wanted my mom to experience this taste and mood too, so I whisked her right in!
Are the chips at Bass Burger Yeouido really unlimited?

Yes! At Bass Burger Yeouido you can help yourself to crunchy chips fried in the shop, plus sauce, as much as you like. So the first thing to do after sitting down is to fill up on these chips!

Salty and crunchy, the texture is honestly a work of art. Your hand keeps reaching for them before the burgers even arrive, and they're a perfect beer snack. Even my mom tried them and told me to go get more, haha.

How do you order, and is there enough seating?
At Bass Burger Yeouido you can order from your seat, or do what I did: order directly from a staff member at the bar and take a vibrating pager.

There are plenty of seats deep inside the restaurant, so it seems good for groups, and it works whether you come alone, as a pair or as a trio.
What did mom and I order, and how much was it?

My mom and I, two women, ordered a Bass Lager, Chili Mochi Cheese Bars, a Bass Burger set and a Double Bacon Cheese Burger. Bass Burger has a surprisingly varied menu and lots of beers, so there's a wide choice, which I love. How many burgers can you max out on? I think I could honestly do two! But my conscience says just one.😎
- Bass Lager ₩5,500
- Chili Mochi Cheese Bars ₩3,700
- Bass Burger set ₩11,700
- Double Bacon Cheese Burger ₩11,300

What I really love about Bass Burger is that they give you two hygiene gloves per person! No matter how many wet wipes you use, it can still feel icky, right? This solves that, and I liked it a lot.😉

How were the Chili Mochi Cheese Bars?
The Chili Mochi Cheese Bars (₩3,700) I ordered as a side are total temptresses! One bite and the cheese stretches out and out, which makes them so fun to eat. They're crispy outside and full of chewy mozzarella inside, with a faint spicy chili flavor, so they weren't greasy at all.

As the owner recommended, I dipped them in the nutty ranch sauce, and the spicy-and-nutty combo was a perfect match.

Double Bacon Cheese Burger or Bass Burger: which was better?
Short answer: I couldn't pick a winner between the Double Bacon Cheese Burger and the signature Bass Burger, and we were thrilled with both. The main burgers are finally here!

My Double Bacon Cheese Burger has two patties and two slices of cheese, so the first bite fills your mouth with rich, savory flavor. With the salty bacon on top, it tasted like an American-style handmade burger.

The Bass Burger my mom had, true to its signature status, blended fresh vegetables, tomato and patty into a neat, clean taste. It isn't overpowering and has the balance a handmade burger should, so my mom enjoyed it comfortably and loved it. The verdict? We were thrilled with both, no winner!

The fries that came with the set seemed freshly fried and tasted even better.

Does Bass Lager go well with the burgers?
The Bass Lager (₩5,500) was fresh and refreshing from the very first sip. Burgers and chips without beer would feel like something's missing, right?

It sort of washes away the heaviness of a handmade burger, smooth and clean. It's an easy pairing for a light daytime burger and beer, and the best way to shake off the day after work.
Is Bass Burger Yeouido worth another visit?
I'd go back 🙆🏻♀️ Even after a long gap, the taste and friendliness were unchanged, and my mom and I both had a happy time at Bass Burger Yeouido! If you're shopping at The Hyundai Seoul or looking for a Yeouido Hangang Park date course, drop by!🍔
