Cleansing duo for oily-dehydrated skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal

How did I use the cleansing duo on oily-dehydrated combination skin?

As the weather became hotter, I felt that breakouts could appear if I did not cleanse thoroughly, so I switched cleansing products. Since I have oily-dehydrated combination skin and tend to be sensitive, I used the cleansing balm first when removing makeup, then finished with the foam cleanser.

What were the cleansing balm's texture and after-cleansing feel like?

The HEEDA cleansing balm came in a balm format that I scooped out as needed. Its black formula was introduced as containing natural charcoal from Jirisan, and the way it melted softly against skin warmth felt similar to a typical cleansing balm.

When I normally use cleansing oil, I sometimes notice a slippery residue. With this product, though, it felt as though it rinsed clean after massaging it in. It left less tightness and some moisture after cleansing, which made it easy to use as the first step of makeup removal.

What was different about the mildly acidic foam cleanser?

Alkaline foam cleansers can leave my skin feeling dry immediately after washing, so I prefer mildly acidic products. HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Moisture Foam Cleanser also had a black formula, but it did not feel especially irritating while I used it.

The product description says it contains charcoal powder, hyaluronic acid, aqua ceramide, and plant-derived moisturizing ingredients. In my use, after washing off the sunscreen I normally wear, it left my skin feeling fresh but not excessively dry.

My honest take after using both products

The cleansing balm's melting texture worked well as the first step of makeup removal, while the foam cleanser was a good follow-up when I wanted a mildly acidic cleanse. Both products had black packaging, which also gave a neat impression in my bathroom. However, cleansing performance and skin changes may feel different depending on individual skin condition and the environment of use.
