City Hall Station Chinese restaurant for squid ink yurinchi: Huhugwan

Huhugwan is a Chinese restaurant near City Hall Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. On a Wednesday evening visit with a reservation, yurinchi (crispy fried chicken with sweet-sour sauce) at ₩23,000 and Taiwanese beef noodle soup at ₩15,000 arrived alongside complimentary spring rolls, dumplings and mianbaoxia, with the squid-ink batter yurinchi turning out thin, light and shatteringly crisp. Verdict: the beef noodle soup's clean, mild broth was good, but the squid-ink yurinchi was the real highlight of the meal.
