I had no idea a restaurant with this vibe and this food existed in Pocheon! These days lots of people drive out to Pocheon or visit Pocheon Art Valley. While I was looking for a good place to eat in Pocheon, I found one.

It's Eoneu Dal (어느달).
Where is Eoneu Dal in Pocheon, and is there parking?
Eoneu Dal is a restaurant with a lovely atmosphere in a standalone building at 54 Jeongmundong-gil, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi. There's plenty of parking space right in front, which is great~♡

Eoneu Dal is a single-story building, and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean and comfortable it felt.

It's decorated with flowers, which made it feel light and bright. The staff and service were good too, which is probably why it was so busy.
Lemon and dill water won me over first at Eoneu Dal
Instead of plain water, Eoneu Dal serves water with lemon and dill. I drank it before starting the meal.

The freshness of the lemon and the subtle aroma of the dill made it feel really clean and fresh.

Small touches like this quietly decide your first impression of a restaurant, right? Before any food arrived, I was already thinking, "The food here is going to be neat and tidy too." Also, Eoneu Dal takes orders by QR code.

Save some of Eoneu Dal's bread for the sauce
The bread before the meal was good too.

It was warm and plain in a good way, nice as a light bite before eating.

If you're having pasta, don't forget to save some bread to dip in the sauce.
What I ate at Eoneu Dal, and my verdict
This time at Eoneu Dal I tried the salmon salad, the mushroom cream pasta and the seasonal crab risotto. Verdict first:

I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good Pocheon pasta restaurant for a date, or a restaurant with a nice atmosphere near Pocheon Art Valley. The crab risotto especially is a dish to eat while it's in season, so if you're looking for a good place to eat in Pocheon, keep it in mind.
When you think of Pocheon, you usually think of galbi, Korean food or chicken dishes first, so I was a little surprised to find a place that does pasta and risotto properly. That's why I think it works well when you want a date or a meal with some atmosphere.
To me it felt like a place worth coming to not just from Pocheon but from Dongducheon or Yangju too. It's great to combine with a Pocheon drive, or to stop by for a good meal after seeing sights like Pocheon Art Valley.
A light start with the salmon salad

The first thing I ordered at Eoneu Dal was the salmon salad. A salad is a good way to wake up your appetite before the mains, so I ordered one alongside.

Fresh vegetables and salmon together made it light and refreshing overall. If you're ordering something on the heavier side like cream pasta or risotto, adding a salad is a good idea.

With something fresh and light in between, the main dishes tasted even better.
Mushroom lovers, this one's for you: Eoneu Dal's mushroom cream pasta

Next, the mushroom cream pasta at Eoneu Dal, which I really enjoyed. It was absolutely loaded with mushrooms. If you like mushrooms, I think you'll be quite satisfied.

Above all, I liked that the mushrooms kept their texture. With cream pasta, the smoothness of the sauce is usually the main thing, but with this many mushrooms in it, there was something fun to chew on. The funny part while eating was that

it feels like eating mushroom soup, and also like eating mushroom pasta
was the feeling I got.

With the mushroom flavor added to the rich cream sauce, it was nutty and smooth, yet you could still clearly taste the mushrooms' distinctive aroma and texture. If you like mushrooms, it's worth trying.
How was Eoneu Dal's seasonal crab risotto?
Eoneu Dal's crab risotto is a seasonal dish topped with big, properly meaty crab, and it was the star of this meal and the most memorable dish.

I ordered it as the seasonal dish, and the crab wasn't just sitting on top as decoration. A big, meaty crab was placed right on top, and it looked so appetizing.
I picked out the crab meat and ate it with the risotto, and it was really delicious. Eating the rice and crab meat together, a thought suddenly hit me.

Isn't this a luxury version of bapdoduk (the kind of dish so good it "steals your rice")?
The familiar taste of crab combined with smooth risotto had a different charm from ordinary steamed crab or crab stew. Maybe because it's a dish eaten when crab is in season, the crab meat was plump and delicious.

So personally, I'd recommend the crab risotto if you visit Pocheon in season like now. Seasonal menus can change depending on the time of year, so it's a good idea to check before you go.
Is Eoneu Dal a good restaurant near Pocheon Art Valley?
When people come to Pocheon, many visit Art Valley. If you're wondering where to eat after looking around Pocheon Art Valley, a restaurant with an atmosphere like Eoneu Dal's could be a good choice.
Meat and Korean food are great, but sometimes you think, "This time I want something different, like pasta or risotto!" That's when it's good to remember Eoneu Dal, a Pocheon pasta spot.

Personally, I thought it would also suit couples as a meal stop on a Pocheon drive. The food comes out pretty and the menu feels a bit different from typical Pocheon restaurants, so it works as a date spot too.
A restaurant worth visiting from Pocheon, Dongducheon and Yangju

Eating there, I felt Eoneu Dal isn't just a place for tourists, but a neighborhood favorite that people living in Pocheon, Dongducheon and Yangju could visit once too. I liked that you can have a meal with a nice atmosphere nearby without traveling far. If you're looking for a date, pasta, risotto or drive-course restaurant in Pocheon, it's worth checking out.
What I'd order again at Eoneu Dal
If I went back to Eoneu Dal, I'd order the seasonal crab risotto again. The combination of meaty crab and risotto went together better than I expected. And if you like mushrooms, I recommend the mushroom cream pasta too! Ordering a salad as well and taking your time over the meal makes a good combination.

I found Eoneu Dal while looking for a good place to eat on a trip to Pocheon. The food was cleaner and the menu better than I expected, and above all it gave me that "Wow, there's a restaurant like this in Pocheon?" feeling. If you're planning a Pocheon Art Valley outing with a good meal, remember it. The seasonal crab risotto right now is a strong recommendation!

If you're looking for a place in Pocheon to enjoy pasta and risotto, I'd recommend Eoneu Dal. And if you're looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere near Pocheon, Dongducheon and Yangju, give it a look. Next time I'm in Pocheon, I'm curious what the seasonal menu will have changed to, so I'd like to stop by again. :)
