Coffee829 Seocho: a café for a break near Seocho Station
Coffee829 Seocho (커피829 서초점) is a café near Seocho Station where you can try coffee roasted in-house. I'd been out near Seocho Station and dropped in to rest a bit over a coffee.

Coffee829 Seocho opening hours and how to get there
Coffee829 Seocho is open weekdays 8 a.m.–10 p.m. and weekends 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Come out of Seocho Station Exit 2 or Exit 1. There's no parking.

The story behind the Coffee829 name and wolf logo
Coffee829 apparently started on August 29, 2012, in a small shop at Gyodae Station. So that's why it's called Coffee829! It grew into a second directly run branch at Nambu Terminal in 2017 and a roasting lab in 2020, and the owner handles the roasting and the shop operations himself. They say that over 13 years they've kept researching and improving, staying true to the basics of good coffee.
The logo, a "wolf," stands for loyalty and devotion, and wolves are said to choose just one partner for life. They say this goes beyond animal traits and reflects the consistency, reliability and dedication Coffee829 aims for.

What's the atmosphere like at Coffee829 Seocho?
I visited after 3 p.m., and it was easy to settle in. The moment I walked in, the smell of coffee hit me, which I loved.

You can see the roasting space too, right? They say Coffee829 personally checks and manages every step, from selecting the beans to production.
High-ceilinged two-floor space and space rental
Coffee829 Seocho is on the first floor, but the ceiling is really high, so it's built as a loft. Looking down from the upper level feels different again. You can study or work alone, or use it for meetings and gatherings with several people, and you can rent the space too! For rentals, the 1st floor takes up to about 30 people and the 2nd floor up to 12, depending on your group.

This is Coffee829 Seocho, a Seocho Station café where you can taste coffee brewed from beans roasted on the spot.

Can you buy beans and drip bags at Coffee829 Seocho?
Yes, you can buy their own-roasted beans and drip bags in the shop. You can also smell the beans first, so coffee lovers, definitely try it. You can sniff a range of beans: decaf, nutty Blue Moon, fruity-acidic Red Moon and more.

You order at the kiosk, and they sell bakery items to go with your coffee at friendly prices.

Latte, sandwich, cookie and bread for about 20,000 won
At Coffee829 Seocho I ordered the Signature 829 Latte, a ham and cheese sandwich, a choco cookie and a blueberry cream cheese chewy bread (쫀뜩빵, jjonddeukppang). All of that came to about ₩20,000? Such a bargain.

Signature 829 Latte and choosing your beans
This is the Signature 829 Latte I ordered. It's made with their signature milk, a blend of rich fresh cream and milk in the ideal ratio for a nuttier, fuller flavor! For beans, Blue Moon, with a nutty, dark-chocolate feel, is the base price, while switching to Red Moon (acidic, fruity), decaf or cold brew costs ₩500 extra.

The choco cookie my daughter always buys two of
The choco cookie at Coffee829 Seocho is delicious. My daughter is picky, but she loves this cookie, so whenever we come she buys two.

A clean-tasting ham and cheese sandwich
The ham and cheese sandwich is good too. I was hungry since I hadn't eaten anything since morning, but I liked it because it tasted clean and simple.

Blueberry cream cheese chewy bread: a must-order
Do order the blueberry cream cheese chewy bread. It's wonderfully chewy and so tasty. Highly recommend!
