Gimpo sundae restaurant where two share one omakase set: Paldam
In short
Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch is a sundae-guk (Korean blood sausage soup) and handmade sundae restaurant at 5 Ungok-ro, Gimpo, Gyeonggi. The writer came at peak time with her mother after booking on CatchTable, and the two shared one omakase set (15,000 won) plus one clear sundae-guk (10,000 won), then took home more clear sundae-guk and organ meat. With the unlimited organ meat self-bar, a meal at Paldam Sundae fills you up like a buffet.

Today I'm posting about Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch, a sundae-guk (blood sausage soup) spot that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I kept thinking about the rich sundae-guk and the unlimited organ meat self-bar from last time, so I couldn't hold out and went back — here's the revisit review!

Where is Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch, and where do you park?

Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch, a Janggi-dong favorite, is located at the entrance heading toward Seokmo-ri in Janggi-dong — go right down a back street for about 10m, past Eunhui-ne Haejangguk, and it's on the right.

This popular Gimpo restaurant, known for its waits, makes CatchTable reservations essential — so I always book ahead before visiting. There's a comfortable waiting area in front with a cool fan set up.
While waiting, I looked around and enjoyed the cozy, nostalgic decorations and lush green plants out front.
This is a place with a patent for the manufacturing method of seafood-vegetable sundae, for removing odor from pollack bones, and for the bone broth made with those pollack bones — so I was really looking forward to it.

Parking at this Janggi-dong favorite is available on the right side and in front of the restaurant, with space for a bit over 10 cars. We visited during peak time today and were a little worried, but luckily there was space to park.
Inside Paldam Sundae: counter seats for solo diners

This Seokmo-ri favorite was once again packed with customers, proving it's a genuine hit spot. It's a clean, bright wood-toned interior with a comfortable, homey atmosphere. There are bar seats next to the counter too, so solo diners can come without any worries — a real Janggi-dong favorite.

Below the menu board you can check today's omakase sundae. I hadn't gotten to try the nut sundae last time, so I was curious about it, and I was so happy that today's omakase happened to include nut sundae.

This Gimpo favorite has even won an excellence award in the national category of a Korean consumer industry evaluation, so if you're a true sundae fan, this is a must-visit course!

It's been featured on several TV programs — JTBC's Honja-neun Mot-hae on February 7, 2026, Morning Wide episode 888 on May 28, 2026, and Live Today episode 4018 on May 27, 2026 — and countless celebrities have visited. As a Gimpo resident myself, it makes me proud!
The unlimited organ meat self-bar at Paldam Sundae

Here's what's really special about Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch — an unlimited self-bar for organ meat! The sundae is delicious too, of course, but honestly it's the organ meat that fell for me and brought me back again.

I also really love that side dishes and extra rice are free at the self-bar. The staff kept checking on the self-bar's hygiene throughout, which gave me a lot of confidence. Disposable aprons and high chairs are set up next to the self-bar too.
Outside alcohol isn't allowed in, but they do sell alcohol and drinks. At the counter they even had after-meal candy, toothpicks, dental floss, and hair ties — very thoughtful.
Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch menu and prices
Here's the menu at this Seokmo-ri favorite. Besides sundae-guk, they also have suyuk (boiled pork slices), handmade assorted sundae, bone-steamed sundae hot pot, and squid sundae organ stir-fry as drinking snacks — great with a drink. All menu items at Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch can be packed to go, and ordering per person gets you free extra organ meat and rice from the self-bar, which I love.

What two people get from one omakase set and one clear sundae-guk

- Omakase set ₩15,000
- Clear sundae-guk ₩10,000
- Clear sundae-guk (to go) ₩10,000
- Organ meat (to go) ₩5,000

For an extra ₩5,000 you can also try today's omakase sundae along with suyuk, so if you visit Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch, definitely order the omakase set!
Even just one order of the omakase set comes with 6 pieces of sundae and 3 slices of suyuk. While I went to get organ meat, my mom snuck a taste of the suyuk.
Since it was just my mom and me, I figured two omakase sets would be too much, so we only ordered one. The sundae comes out in pairs of each type, so we each got to try a piece of every kind — a good way to eat if you're not a big eater.

How the nut, blood and cheongyang chili sundae and suyuk taste
Clockwise from top left: nut sundae, blood sundae, cheongyang chili sundae, and suyuk. The nut sundae I was most curious about had a crunchy, nutty bite with every chew, which was appealing right from the texture. The blood sundae had a savory, hearty flavor, and the cheongyang chili sundae's spicy kick cut through any greasiness for a clean finish. The suyuk was moist and really tender — dipped lightly in soy sauce with the bean sprouts underneath, it was truly delicious.
This is the organ meat I brought over from the self-bar! Lung, liver, osori-gamtu (pork stomach lining), heart, windpipe — getting to try organ meats you don't often encounter all in one place is something I really cherish.

Ordering the omakase set also gets you a tray for 4 kinds of sauce. Dipping the organ meat in salted shrimp, chojang (vinegar-chili sauce), or salt to your taste made it feel like a truly special dish!

Clear sundae-guk simmered for 14 hours
After enjoying today's omakase sundae, suyuk, and organ meat as appetizers, the main sundae-guk arrived! Last time I tried the spicy sundae-guk consulted on by chef Lee Won-il, but this time I ordered the clear sundae-guk to properly taste the patented clear broth, simmered for 14 hours from Korean beef and pork bones.
Apparently Paldam Sundae's head meat doesn't use the standard-size pork typically used elsewhere, but only the top domestic breed's female breeding pigs, which are larger and have better flavor and quality. Isn't this head meat visual something you rarely see at a regular sundae-guk restaurant? Not just bigger — the chewing texture and flavor with every bite were truly different.
And that patented broth flavor — simmered carefully for 14 hours, it's clean, odor-free, and mild, with a rich, deep flavor you can only get at Paldam Sundae.
The broth was so delicious I mixed rice into it and devoured it, and my mom even asked for a broth refill!!
The kimchi and kkakdugi (radish kimchi) were so good too — mix rice with broth and top with kimchi, and a whole bowl of rice disappears in no time!

What comes in the clear sundae-guk and organ meat takeout
Clear sundae-guk (to go) ₩10,000, organ meat (to go) ₩5,000. Even just packing the sundae-guk comes with a small container of organ meat, kimchi, dadegi (chili paste), salted shrimp, and perilla powder all included. My kid loves sundae organ meat as much as I do, so I packed extra organ meat to go, and it was really generous. I was impressed all over again by the generous portions. Even packing just one serving of sundae-guk is plenty for two people to eat at home.

At the restaurant I only added perilla powder to fully enjoy the rich, deep broth flavor as is, but at home I added dadegi too, and the whole broth got a savory kick that made it even more appetizing.
Final verdict on Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch

Especially with the unlimited organ meat self-bar, this is a must-visit Gimpo sundae-guk restaurant for anyone who loves organ meat. It's not just an ordinary sundae-guk restaurant where you eat one bowl and leave — with the generous organ meat self-bar and the unique trio of sundae plus suyuk, Paldam Sundae Gimpo Main Branch feels like enjoying a buffet. I hope you get to have a filling, special meal like this too!
