People & Peoples is a cooking bar near Sangdong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi, with a glass folding-door terrace and a double-sided big screen. On this visit, the pastry-dough pizza came with house-made chimichurri and salsa criolla sauces alongside a highball poured from the shop's own dispenser. The sweet-and-salty pizza and the crisp highball paired so well it left a clear urge to come back.
Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch is a hanjeongsik (Korean set-meal) restaurant in a three-story standalone building on Jungdongno 254beon-gil in Wonmi-gu, Bucheon. Visiting alone in the awkward mid-afternoon lull, the writer ordered the ₩13,000 Tteuranchae Bapsang set with an ₩18,000 soy crab side dish, getting 12 side dishes, cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew), and yellow rice cooked in a stone pot, plus lotus root candy and yeolmu kimchi from the self-bar. With its own parking lot and private rooms, it works just as well for solo meals as for family gatherings.
