Bokdeurim Bokguk (복드림 복국 콩나물국) is a new pufferfish soup and bean sprout soup restaurant in the restaurant alley across from COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. On a weekday office lunch, the writer tried pufferfish for the first time: milbok (smooth pufferfish soup) piled with minari and bean sprouts for ₩11,000, served with bibimbap, plus a half plate of fried pufferfish for ₩8,000. With generous portions and a wide menu, Bokdeurim Bokguk is worth recommending for an office lunch in Samseong-dong.

Diet meal shop in Seolleung: solo 50g-protein beef curry bowl, Prepers

Prepers Diet Food Seolleung Station branch is a newly opened high-protein diet meal shop on Teheran-ro in Gangnam, Seoul, near Seolleung Station Exit 10. Dieting before a wedding, the writer stopped by alone after work for the new Beef Curry Rice Bowl Combo (15,900 won) and was happy with the thin Japanese-style curry, moist medium-rare beef and generous portion. Apart from slightly too little curry sauce, the Prepers beef curry bowl is a filling meal you can eat on a diet.

Seolleung poke restaurant: 338kcal tuna sashimi bowl at Hola Poke

Hola Poke Seolleung Branch (올라포케 선릉점) is a poke restaurant near Seolleung Station in Gangnam, Seoul, popular with local office workers watching their diet. A Seolleung office worker in her fourth year on the job, dieting before her wedding, ordered the tuna sashimi poke (12,000 won, 338kcal) and a side of Buldak salmon kkakdugi, spicy cubed salmon (8,000 won), after work. The 100g of tuna sashimi with wasabi mayo sauce never got tiresome, and both dishes are so generous that one poke is plenty for a solo diner.
