Bakery café in Deokjeong, Yangju: walnut loaf for three at Doasis
In short
Doasis is a large bakery café in Deokjeong-dong, Yangju, Gyeonggi, set in a remodeled former bathhouse building. On a weekday afternoon, three people shared four breads (walnut loaf, corn campagne, ciabatta and squid ink crunch) with 4,500-won americanos, and the big parking lot, AI scanner checkout and palm-filled interior stood out. Doasis is a good Yangju bakery café for a long, unhurried chat over bread and coffee on a quiet weekday afternoon.

Today's story is about Doasis, a bakery café in Yangju that I visited with two friends on a weekday afternoon. Yangju has plenty of big cafés, but I was looking for one with lots of space and an unusual atmosphere, and that naturally led us to Doasis. Here's my honest review after four breads and some americanos.
Doasis basic info
- Address: 25-5 Hwahap-ro 1402beon-gil, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi, 2nd and 3rd floors
- Hours: 2nd floor 10:00–23:00 (last order 22:00), 3rd floor 10:00–21:00 (last order 20:55)
- Facilities: parking, nursing room, high chairs
Where is Doasis, and how is the parking?

Doasis is in Deokjeong-dong, Yangju, about a 5-minute walk from Deokjeong Station. We drove, and the parking lot is really big, so we had no worries about finding a spot.

It reportedly fits up to 140 cars, so even a family visit on the weekend should feel less stressful.

Parking is what I worry about most with big cafés, and this was definitely a plus. If you don't have a car, it's close to Deokjeong Station, so it's easy to drop by.
A spacious, distinctive café in a converted bathhouse

Doasis is a large Yangju café made from a renovated old bathhouse building. Inside, the high ceiling and open space hit you first, and traces of the bathhouse days remain here and there, which made looking around fun.

Palm trees brought from Jeju Island fill the interior, so it felt more like walking into a botanical garden than a café.

Doasis seating and facilities for kids
Doasis is split over the 2nd and 3rd floors, with sofa seats, long tables and group seating. Quite the variety, right? The tables are spaced generously, so neighboring conversations didn't bother us. Maybe because it was a weekday afternoon, it was quiet, perfect for the three of us to talk for a long time.
There's also a nursing room and high chairs, so it's a decent place to come with a child.
The AI scanner that rings up your bread automatically

As a proper Yangju bakery café, Doasis has a huge range of breads on the shelves. Choosing alone took ages, haha. What surprised me was how checkout works.

You put the bread on a tray and place it on the scanner, and it recognizes everything automatically and shows the price. There's no need to scan items one by one, so paying was quick. With so many kinds of bread, going a bit earlier rather than late in the afternoon will give you more to choose from.
Four breads and americanos at Doasis
The four breads we picked at Doasis were the walnut loaf, corn campagne, ciabatta and squid ink crunch. All three of us ordered americanos.
- Walnut loaf: Soft texture with plenty of walnuts, so every bite had a nutty richness.
- Corn campagne: Firm crust and moist inside, with popping corn kernels giving a gentle sweetness.
- Ciabatta: Plain and mild, the easiest one to eat with coffee.
- Squid ink crunch: Crispy like the name says, with a chewy bite too. All three of us reached for it first.
Sharing four breads among three people was a generous amount, and with a cup of coffee we left full and happy.

Doasis americano: taste and price
The Doasis americano isn't strongly bitter and has a nutty side, so it pairs well with bread. At ₩4,500, it's easy on the wallet for a big café. Since the breads are fairly mild, this nutty americano suited them better than a strong, dark coffee. Of the four breads, the squid ink crunch and walnut loaf satisfied me most.
Is Doasis, the Yangju bakery café, worth another visit?

Doasis is a Yangju bakery café that gets the basics right: lots of space, a unique bathhouse-renovation interior and tasty bread. Parking is easy and it's close to Deokjeong Station, so access is good too.
It's a great spot for enjoying bread and coffee at leisure on a weekday afternoon, and I plan to go back to try other breads.

If you're looking for a spacious bakery café with character in Yangju, give Doasis a try.
