Charcoal galbi with kids in Gimpo: half beef half pork, Galbigumteo
Galbigumteo Pungmu Station Branch is a charcoal-grilled marinated rib restaurant at Pungmu intersection in Pungmu-dong, Gimpo. Because the daughter wanted beef and the son wanted pork, the family ordered half and half — garlic-marinated beef ribs (180g, 22,900 won) and handmade Korean pork king ribs (300g, 19,900 won) — grilled at the table by staff, with self-bar buchimgae (savory pancake) and nurungji sungnyung (scorched rice tea) on the side. Both cuts were good enough that Galbigumteo is now a family dinner regular, with a full 800g plate of beef rib meat planned for next time.
