I had a good experience here last time with Monggeul, so I went back to Gaeddae Playground's Namyangju branch again! I wanted to have fun with Monggeul and eat something good, and if you're searching for a dog café in Uijeongbu or Byeollae, Namyangju is actually closer than you'd think, so it's worth considering together. Coming from Nowon wasn't a big hassle for us either — I thought it was a great option when looking for a dog café near Seoul, haha.

Gaeddae Playground Namyangju: parking and entry conditions

Gaeddae Playground Namyangju has a dedicated parking lot, which made it convenient to visit by car! Whether you're coming from Nowon like us or looking for somewhere to take your dog from Byeollae, the distance felt manageable.

For reference, dogs over 18kg can't really use the space here — it's mainly for small to medium breeds.

Inside Gaeddae Playground: dog photo zone and pet goods

Gaeddae Playground Namyangju is broadly divided into an indoor zone and an outdoor zone. The first thing that caught my eye stepping inside was the variety of dog photo zones.

Each space was decorated in its own cute way, so I took a ton of photos with Monggeul, haha.

There were so many photo zones where even casual shots came out cute, so anyone looking for a dog photo zone or a spot for a 'dog-life shot' would probably love it too!

On one side of the indoor area they were also selling dog treats and toys, and running a receipt review event. Make sure to join the review event and grab a treat for your dog!

Samgyeopsal couple set for 60,900 won: what comes with it

On this visit we ordered the samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) couple set (₩60,900). When I walked in, honestly, not a single table wasn't eating pork belly, haha. The smell got to me so I ended up ordering it too, ha.

It was great being able to have a full meal while out playing with the dog.

One thing I really liked about Gaeddae Playground is that ordering a meal menu makes entry free for both owner and dog!

So it felt less like just a dog café and more like a dog-friendly restaurant — the dog plays in the yard while the owner eats, and you get to spend time together, haha.

Enjoying good pork belly while Monggeul ran around to her heart's content — this place will definitely come to mind when I'm looking for somewhere to take my dog on a weekend!

The set also came with handmade dog treats, which was a nice touch, ha. Monggeul ate them up so happily, haha.

I also liked that you can fry your own egg yourself.

The water bowls for the dogs are sanitized with a UV sterilizer, so it seemed like they were paying attention to hygiene too.

The outdoor artificial turf dog field

After finishing the photos and the pork belly indoors, I took Monggeul out to the outdoor zone.

Outside there's a spacious dog yard laid with artificial turf.

The moment Monggeul got out there, she ran around everywhere having so much fun, ha.

When you bring your dog along, having space to run around freely matters way more than just staying inside a café!

So this would suit anyone searching for a dog playground in Uijeongbu or Byeollae, or looking for a pet outing spot near Seoul!

Seasonal dog pool and what to bring for a self-bath

On one side of the outdoor zone there's also a dog pool that operates seasonally. Monggeul didn't swim this time, but seeing the pool space was so cute that I want to come back with her swimsuit next time, haha.

If you use the self-bath after your dog swims, you're asked to bring your own shampoo and towel! So this is worth knowing for anyone looking into dog pools in summer.

Once outside, Monggeul definitely seemed even more excited, running around on her own for a long while, haha.

Indoors was fun for photo zones, while outdoors was great for letting the dog move freely and play! On nice-weather days like this, staying indoors only feels like a waste, so having this outdoor yard made it a great time to spend with my dog, haha. For anyone searching for a dog café near Seoul, Uijeongbu, or Byeollae, and looking for a place with a big enough space for dogs to run around, the outdoor zone should be satisfying too.

Is Gaeddae Playground worth the trip?

Visiting Gaeddae Playground Namyangju with Monggeul again, the most convenient part was being able to spend time with my dog and take care of a meal all at once, haha. If you're searching for a dog café in Uijeongbu or Byeollae, it might be worth widening your search to Namyangju, and it's also worth considering if you're looking for somewhere to drive to near Seoul with your dog! Most of all, I enjoyed the samgyeopsal couple set and Monggeul got to run around plenty, so it was a very satisfying day, haha.
