Cheolsan, Gwangmyeong fish grill an 8-year local finally tried: Todam

Todam Hwadok Saengseongui (토담화덕생선구이) is a Korean restaurant serving clay-oven grilled fish, on the 3rd floor of a building on Anyangcheon-ro in Cheolsan, Gwangmyeong. The writer, a Cheolsan resident of 8 years, ate the grilled mackerel set and the hairtail set with her husband, along with stone-pot rice, doenjang (soybean paste) stew, self-serve side dishes, and a dessert of roasted sweet potato, watermelon and pumpkin porridge. For anyone who would rather not deal with the smell of grilling fish at home, Todam Hwadok Saengseongui is an easy neighborhood spot for grilled fish.

Gwangmyeong hair salon no-heat perm for a natural C-curl: Maple Hair

Maple Hair Gwangmyeong Sageori Station Branch is a hair salon on Gwangmyeong-ro near Gwangmyeong Sageori Station in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi. Gwangmyeong gyukatsu restaurant with gram-by-gram refills: Hoka Hoka

Hoka Hoka Gwangmyeong Main Branch is a Japanese restaurant at 887 Oriro in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi, near Cheolsan Station, serving gyukatsu (breaded beef cutlet) and ramen. Arriving with a friend right at the 11:30 am opening, we had a complimentary sweet potato fritter starter, gyukatsu grilled to our own liking on a personal charcoal stove, and a yuzu-scented cold ramen. Extra gyukatsu can be ordered by the gram, and the combo was good enough that we agreed to add 100–200 g more next time.
