BBQ camp in Asan with a private cabin and no cleanup: Stay Green Farm
In short
Stay Green Tourist Farm BBQ & Camp is a barbecue camp near Sinjeongho Lake in Asan, Chungnam, where booking a meat set gets you an hourly private cabin so you can just show up and grill. The writer grilled a Seonjin Pork Korean pork belly and hangjeongsal (pork jowl) set for 2 at 80,000 won, then enjoyed the hammocks, the mini play zone and rabbit feeding with a child. For families who find an overnight camping trip too much, Stay Green Tourist Farm BBQ & Camp is a solid same-day BBQ spot in Asan with no cleanup.

The rainy season will pass soon and the sweltering heat will follow. In weather like this I start craving a barbecue somewhere that feels like the outdoors. But... an overnight trip is hard to fit in, so I went to 'Stay Green Tourist Farm BBQ & Camp', an Asan BBQ spot that's great when you just want to recharge : )
Where is Stay Green Tourist Farm BBQ & Camp?
Stay Green Tourist Farm BBQ & Camp is near Sinjeongho Lake in Asan, Chungnam. It's about 30 minutes from Cheonan, and about 10 minutes by taxi from Onyangoncheon Station.
Where do you check in at Stay Green Tourist Farm?
Check-in is at the brown building (the shop) up the slope past the glamping area. The BBQ area and the glamping site share the same grounds, so it can be confusing to find the check-in spot.

I didn't even know there was a glamping site here, and the mountain scenery was so nice that I wondered, should we come here for our summer vacation?

Go past the glamping area and up a bit more of the slope, and you'll see the brown building (the shop). Check in there. ※ You can book on Naver!

The shop has a variety of drinks, snacks and groceries, plus high chairs for babies.

The private cabin I booked is a space where you can barbecue. You order the meat first, and any side dishes you run short of are self-service.
How does the hourly private cabin 'camnic' work?
The private cabins at Stay Green Tourist Farm are hourly 'camnic' spaces (camping + picnic), and you must choose a meat option when booking. With generous time slots, you can spend time with your family after the barbecue and get the feel of camping and a picnic at once.

Besides the meat you order on Naver, you can order any other food you need at the kiosk. Alcohol is sold too, at the same prices as a restaurant (e.g. soju ₩5,000).

There's even a Bluetooth speaker, so I connected right away! With music added, the camping mood was complete.

The cabin has full heating and air conditioning, and like a BBQ restaurant, you have to order a meat set when booking. The biggest plus: no cleanup needed! If you want to use the pool, select it as an option and book a private table separately.
All the cooking equipment is provided, and the touching part was that a pot of hot rice was waiting in the rice cooker right at check-in time.
Seonjin Pork pork belly and hangjeongsal set for 2 at ₩80,000: how is the meat?
The meat set I ordered at Stay Green Tourist Farm BBQ & Camp was the Seonjin Pork Hanwoo-style Korean pork (Hanjon) pork belly + hangjeongsal (pork jowl) set for 2 at ₩80,000, and you can pay on site with Asan Pay. I wasn't expecting much from the meat quality, but you can expect good things.

The meat set came carefully packed in a cooler bag! It's a generous lineup, and everything from the meat to the corn cheese, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and the final fried rice was perfect. I'd chosen hangjeongsal and pork belly when booking, but neck meat (moksal) came instead. When I told them, they swapped it right away!

There's a BBQ grill ready, so grilling the meat was really convenient. Maybe because it's grilled, the meat juices just burst out!!

A perfect spread! This is exactly the healing I wanted.......♥ You get the camping vibe this conveniently, so there's no need to go through the hassle of camping!! I finished with the last freebie, self-made fried rice for dessert.
What facilities can kids enjoy?
Every site at the Stay Green Tourist Farm private cabins has a mountain view, and there are hammocks, outdoor tables, badminton, a mini play zone and even a rabbit pen. Outdoor tables were set up so you can relax in the mountains.

Lying on a hammock looking up at the sky!

The time slot is long, so it would be a waste to just eat and leave. With badminton and play facilities too, I really thought this is a great place to come with kids!

The mini play zone for kids has a sandbox, a bouncy house, swings and more.

My child loved the Mario air bounce the moment they saw it. Next to it there's an even bigger sand play area.
When evening came, being in the mountains, I worried about mosquitoes and bugs. It was touching to see the kind owner going around the camp zone and spraying mosquito repellent for guests himself.
A little further down is an area where guinea pigs and rabbits live, a nice place to stroll after the meal. They say you can feed leftover lettuce from the meat to the rabbits! My kid was thrilled to feed them.
Day camp zone with outside food allowed and a free pool
The day camp zone at Stay Green Tourist Farm is a space for outside food, and in summer season only you can use the pool for free. It has a bit more of a camping feel than the private cabins.

In the day camp zone you can bring in outside food, cook, and even get delivery! It's that kind of camp zone!!
Why I recommend Stay Green Tourist Farm as an Asan BBQ spot
Stay Green Tourist Farm in Asan was a place where families and couples can recharge. It started with a kind owner who makes you feel good from check-in and thoughtful care for guests, then a neat setup and a pool kids love! It's even better in summer, so I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to escape the daily routine and unwind : )
