I was looking for a bakery around Jongno 3-ga and stopped by Munhwa Bakery! The storefront is so pretty you can't just walk past it! The inside is small, so there's a sign asking for two groups to enter at a time!
I was looking for something to pack up and take home near Jongno 3-ga Station when I ended up at Munhwa Bakery. I usually love bread and can't walk past a bakery when I spot one, so this time I decided to pick out a few things to bring home and eat.

I spent a long time deciding what to pick, and ended up choosing a mix of flavors to take home. This time I packed up garlic bread, injeolmi cream bread, and walnut bread.
What does Munhwa Bakery's garlic bread taste like?
Munhwa Bakery's garlic bread (₩6,800) has a nutty flavor with a subtle garlic aroma, making it easy to eat without feeling overwhelmed.
The outside is sweet and crisp while the inside is soft, so I think it'd pair well with coffee. Garlic bread is something I already love and often pick at bakeries, and Munhwa Bakery's version was solid as a snack too.
Injeolmi cream bread, if you like it sweet
The second bread I tried was Munhwa Bakery's injeolmi cream bread. I love the combination of injeolmi and cream, so the name alone had me hooked — the nutty injeolmi flavor and soft cream came together for a sweet, enjoyable bite.
The bread itself wasn't too heavy, making it good as a single snack, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes injeolmi's distinct nutty flavor!
Walnut bread, and how the three breads compare
Third was the walnut bread (₩3,500). With walnuts baked in, it had a nutty flavor and real texture when you bit into it.
Eating only soft bread can get a little repetitive, but the walnuts gave it some texture to chew on now and then, which I liked. Packing up all three and eating them one by one, each had its own flavor and texture, making it fun to pick through.
If you're looking for a bakery near Jongno 3-ga Station, I think this is a solid place to swing by and pick out whatever you're in the mood for. Packing several kinds to slowly eat at home is a great option too.
This time I chose garlic bread, injeolmi cream bread, and walnut bread, but next time I'd like to try some of the others.
