Self-bar somyeon noodles at a Gangnam pork soup restaurant: Sinju Okmi
Sinju Okmi Gangnam Branch is a 24-hour sundaeguk (pork and blood sausage soup) restaurant in Yeoksam-dong, a short walk from Exit 3 of Gangnam Station in Seoul. The order was the myeongin sundaeguk set and the spicy sundaeguk set together, with free somyeon noodles from the self-bar dropped into the broth and the assorted boiled pork that comes with each set. In the wide hall with running water playing in the background, finishing both the rice and the noodles made for a seriously generous meal.
