Lightweight summer rattan shoulder bag: Meda Bag

For summer bags, I tend to look for something that is not heavy, has a breezy material feel, and goes naturally with my clothes. With those criteria in mind, I tried the Meda Bag Shoulder Summer Rattan Net Bag.

The overall design felt easygoing, so it was nice to carry day to day, and I thought it would also be great to use on vacation.

When I received it, a pair of earrings came with it as a free gift, too.

What outfits did the beige rattan bag go well with?

The first thing that caught my eye was its natural weave. The beige color I chose was not too strong in tone, so it went well with dresses, slacks, and denim alike.

It was not a design that only suited resort wear. It was also easy to style naturally as a shoulder bag with everyday clothes.

Were the weight and strap comfortable on the shoulder?

I liked the way it fell naturally when I put it on my shoulder. The bag opening also had a stable shape, so I worried less about things spilling out. The strap was not thin, and my shoulder did not hurt when I used it.

The bag itself felt light, so I could carry it without any burden when going to a café or heading out.

How much did it hold for everyday essentials?

At first, I thought it would not have much storage space, but it was roomier than expected once I used it. It easily held a wallet, pouch, sunglasses, and a small water bottle. The inside finishing felt neat as well, and organizing my belongings was not particularly inconvenient.

How can it be used for everyday outings and travel?

For everyday use, I reached for it often because the design was not overdone. Its natural weave added a summery mood, so I felt it would be nice to carry at a travel destination or resort, too.

I especially liked that the beige color did not require much thought when putting an outfit together. Rather than keeping it only for resort wear, it was easy to use as an everyday shoulder bag, too.

What I was happy with while using it was its light weight and color that was easy to match with different outfits. If you are looking for an everyday shoulder bag with a summer feel, I think it is worth a look.

I also liked that one small accessory could add a sense of the season to an outfit. This bag's natural texture and beige color did just that.

I was also planning to bring this bag on my upcoming trip to the Philippines at the time of writing. Because it felt so light in everyday use, I wanted to use it as a summer travel bag as well.
