I visited Levia Hair, a newly opened hair salon near Bucheon City Hall. The head spa is one of its signature services, and I got a mid-length layered cut plus the head spa. You sit in a massage chair for the head spa, and it was so comfortable that it turned into a real healing time. Okay, let me start my review of Levia Hair Bucheon Branch!

Where is Levia Hair Bucheon Branch, and where can you park?

Levia Hair Bucheon Branch is on the 3rd floor of the City Office building, about a 3-minute walk from Bucheon City Hall Station Exit 5, and it is open daily 10:00–20:00. If you drive, you can use the building's underground parking.

It's close to the station, so it's easy to reach by public transport. The underground car park is fairly big with plenty of spaces, so parking is easy. Take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and Levia Hair is right there on the left.

The salon is a spacious 100 pyeong, decorated in white tones with brown accents. The first thing that caught my eye as soon as I walked in was the wide, long waiting area.

There are sofas, so waiting looks comfortable. There are outlets down below too, so you can charge your phone, it seems!

Various hair products are neatly displayed along one wall. Certificates of commendation are displayed too, which caught my eye!

The wall is made of floor-to-ceiling windows, so the space feels open. Above all, the 100-pyeong interior is really roomy, and the white tones with brown accents make it clean and nicely atmospheric. I couldn't believe a hair salon could be this pretty.

Can you bring kids or a dog to Levia Hair?

Levia Hair Bucheon Branch has private rooms and child seats, and pets are allowed too. Overall it's a premium hair salon with a comfortable space and a stylish atmosphere.

I visited with my husband and he waited for me while I had my hair done. They also gave us drinks and snacks, which I appreciated! My husband sat in a seat by the big window and waited looking outside, haha.

How did a mid-length layered cut fix flat side hair?

After a consultation, Vice Director Jeongha of Levia Hair Bucheon Branch kept as much length as possible and added plenty of layers to fix my drooping side hair. I decided to get the full head spa along with the cut.

We started with a consultation. My concern was that I'm growing my hair out, and the longer it gets, the more the weight makes my side hair hang flat with no volume. After talking, we decided to do a layered cut to address that, plus the full head spa. I liked that the consultation was tailored to my hair condition and face shape, and I was happy that she explained in detail how to care for my hair if I keep growing it out!

This is how I looked before. I don't usually do treatments often.. so my hair had been getting frizzier. It had also gotten quite long, and my side hair kept sticking to my face, which made my face shape stand out even more.

This is after the layered cut only. She kept as much length as possible while adding plenty of layers! I have thick hair, but she said it's important not to just thin it out a lot, and to cut with the shape in mind for when I perm it later at a longer length. Because she did the layered cut to suit my situation, I trusted her even more, haha.

She cut it so volume would come back especially around the bangs and sides, so my hair that used to drop straight down turned into a style with natural side volume. Vice Director Jeongha has golden hands..!

How does the full head spa at Levia Hair Bucheon work?

The head spa full care at Levia Hair Bucheon Branch is done lying in a massage chair, in this order: peeling and steam, scalp scrub, customized shampoo, Ayunchae scalp pack with a lamp, and treatment. The massage chair runs the whole time, so it felt like everything from my head to my whole body was loosening up.

After the cut, I moved to the shampoo room. One side is a regular shampoo area, and the other side has the massage chairs for the head spa.

The massage chair started working as soon as I lay down. The massage runs the whole time during the head spa full care, and it felt refreshing from my head to my whole body, so it was a proper healing time!

Step 1: Peeling treatment and steam

First, she applied a peeling agent to my scalp. She doesn't go straight to the scrub; after applying the peeling agent, she slowly softens and emulsifies the scalp with steam. This took about 5 minutes.

Step 2: Scalp scrub with three kinds of granules

After the steam, she did a scalp scrub. It's a clear texture with small green, brown and white granules inside. She explained that the green granules are green tea, which helps soothe the scalp; the brown granules are volcanic scoria, which absorbs impurities and dead skin from the pores; and the white granules are hyaluronic acid, which hydrates the scalp.

Step 3: Shampoo matched to your scalp type

They have several kinds of shampoo and tailor it to your scalp condition. I got the one for oily scalps! She also explained in detail how to shampoo day to day, and the key is to build up plenty of fine foam and cleanse every corner. The shampoo itself was really thorough and felt so refreshing!

Step 4: Ayunchae scalp pack under a heat lamp

Next came a scalp pack using Ayunchae products. After applying the product between sections of my scalp, she ran water over it and turned on a lamp.

The water helps the pack's ingredients spread evenly across the whole scalp. The lamp gives off red light, and they say this step helps soothe and care for the scalp.

Finishing treatment and home-care tips

Finally, it ended with a treatment! She also told me about home care: it's good to do a self-scaling at home about twice a week. I often skip even my regular treatments, so I wonder if I can really do the scaling.. Honestly, people who keep up with self-care consistently are so cool..!

After the head spa came a blow-dry, and everything was finished. From the cut to the head spa it didn't take long overall, so time wasn't a burden. The result was a mid-length cut with calmer frizz and revived side volume.

My frizzy hair is much calmer overall. Thanks to the well-placed layers, the messy-looking end lines feel neatly tidied up too!

It's definitely different from the straight-down look, and with side volume back I'm much happier with the whole picture! The droopy feeling is gone and my hair itself feels lighter, haha. My first head spa: even my scalp color changed

It was my first head spa and my scalp felt so fresh, I really loved it. Because it's done in the massage chair, my whole body loosened up and even my tiredness seemed to melt away. My scalp color had been yellowish-brown, but it became much clearer and whiter than before the care, which surprised me even more.
