My husband spends a lot of time outdoors, and he often said his hands were cold when we talked on his way home from work, so I chose some winter gloves. I received Mongoria Men's Winter Gloves to try, checked how they felt for him, and used them myself when going out and running.
How are the gift packaging and storage setup?
The shipping packaging was neat, and it came with a dedicated case for storing the gloves. When I received them, I liked both the packaging and the glove finishing, so I thought they would work nicely as a gift too.
Are they comfortable if your hands are slightly small?
My husband's hands are slightly smaller than average, but the fingertips did not feel tight when he wore them and had a comfortable amount of room. There was no pulling when he made a fist or opened his hand, so they were easy to move around in day to day.
How do the outer material and lining feel?
The outside is suede, with a fine, soft feel to the touch. The inside is finished with a brushed lining.
The stitching was careful, and the fabric across the palm felt densely woven too. My first impression was that they would not wear out easily.
How warm were they when going out?
The wrist banding naturally wrapped around the wrist. When worn, I barely felt any cold air getting in.
When I actually wore them outside, my hands warmed up quickly. That said, wearing them for a long time could make my hands sweaty.
Can you use a smartphone while running with the gloves on?
There is a touchscreen patch on the right index finger, so I could use my smartphone without taking the gloves off. I skipped songs and checked my running record when I ran alone, and the touchscreen use was not inconvenient at all.
I liked that they were warm without being thick and did not make hand movements feel clumsy. They were also easy to tuck into a pocket and carry around.
Who would these suit?
What I liked was the soft feel, roomier fit, and neat finishing. I think they are worth considering if you want winter gloves with an understated design, or if you want to use your smartphone without taking your gloves off.
