Gangnam Station café, rooftop raspberry tiramisu: Selected Nicks

Selected Nicks is a tiramisu hotspot less than a 5-minute walk from Gangnam Station exits 3 and 4. Every floor has a different mood, the rooftop view is great, and the coffee is good too~ The desserts caught my eye far more than the coffee, so I really hope you try them. After tasting the tiramisu here, I wanted to come back and eat it again, it was totally my taste~ There's a wide range of desserts, they taste good, and it's a café where you can chat at ease :)

How do you order tiramisu at Selected Nicks?

You pick your desserts in the 1st-floor shop, then order them with your drinks at the counter. Walk in, start from the display in the middle and circle around choosing desserts~ then go to the counter and order your drinks along with them :)

Once you've chosen your tiramisu, put the box below into the basket and take it to the counter~ The box has no dessert inside~~

A menu for matcha lovers

Selected Nicks has a separate matcha menu~ From matcha tiramisu to tiramisu with Dubai chewy filling (Dubai jjonduk) and chewy cookies, you can try all the famous ones at once~ I was badly tempted, but

the raspberry tiramisu caught my eye even more, so I chose that. Tiramisu prices range from ₩7,000 up to ₩10,000.

The tiramisu here is big and tasty, so if you go with a group, I recommend the 3-flavor platter tiramisu~

Besides tiramisu, you can also get financiers (small almond cakes), madeleines and cookies.

If you're ordering desserts and drinks together, check the set prices too. The sets for 2 or 3 people work out to a little over ₩10,000 per person for a generous spread of desserts and drinks~

Raspberry tiramisu and iced Americano, eaten on the rooftop

My "want it again" combo was the raspberry tiramisu and an iced Americano. I paired tiramisu with raspberry for dessert, added an iced Americano to cut the sweetness cleanly, and headed up to the rooftop~

The Selected Nicks rooftop has quite a lot of seats, but it was so crowded that there were hardly any empty ones. I enjoyed the Gangnam building view alone for a while, then a group arrived, so I gave up my seat and spent time on another floor :) Do go up to the rooftop~~ The view is great!

How does the raspberry tiramisu at Selected Nicks taste?

They say Selected Nicks tiramisu adds the café's own recipe to an authentic Italian recipe made with fresh eggs and cheese. I thought, where else am I going to get authentic Italian tiramisu~ so I tried it with high expectations, and even with those expectations it was delicious~!! How do I put it. The soft texture of just the right amount of sponge and the cream that melts away made me happy, and the freshness of the raspberry on top meant the price didn't feel wasted~~

The portion is just right for two people to share nicely, so I hope you try it~ It's the number one tiramisu I've ever eaten, haha.

It was a dessert somewhere between cake and cream, and finishing one all by myself left me pretty full~

Thumbs up as a Gangnam Station dessert spot! Next time I'm at Gangnam Station, I think I'll be craving Selected Nicks tiramisu again!

Selected Nicks iced Americano and the spaces on each floor

The iced Americano at Selected Nicks had low acidity and a moderate body, so it wasn't watery and was easy to drink. The size wasn't small either, so I could stay and relax for a long time~~

• A café study zone where you can use a laptop
• A rooftop floor where you can heal while taking in the Gangnam building view from the top
• An outdoor terrace zone at the entrance for chatting in a nice atmosphere

All in all, it was a great big café near Gangnam Station to visit~! Selected Nicks is a place I want to come back to.
